Arum says pacquiao will win, and that’s why mayweather has been reluctant to do the fight???? Anyone else think that comment is funny? We’re talking about the same mayweather who came right out after the cotto fight, and said many would be easy work…..then he went on to sign the deal to fight him, after what, a WEEK of negotiations!

Mayweather is ULTRA confident about beating Pacquiao. That should tell every fan something.

Floyd is not exactly a guy who runs toward challenges. If he is THIS willing to fight Pac, it's because Floyd knows he will beat him.

On the other side, you have pacman who has kept quiet….you have Freddie roach, who first says floyd would be an easier fight than cotto…..then roach says march 13th is too soon to fight a guy like mayweather, not b/c pacquiao is hurt, but b/c mayweather has a difficult style to prepare for…..WTF? then roach says 60-40 split for pacquiao gets the fight done….after the ppv numbers come out, roach says 50-50 gets it done. Then roach says they’d take the fight on march 13th, BUT FLOYD IS SCARED!!! LMAO!!! Floyd signs the deal for march, now roach wants 60-40 again, and pacquaio’s attorney has stated pacman won’t be fighting at all the first half of 2010. And bob arum has to fly all the way to the phillippines, unannounced, so he can sneak up on manny, convince him to come out from under the bed, and take the fight……

But floyd’s scared right?

Floyd was never scared of any fighter. His focus is money and opportunity.

Give Floyd a big stage and a big check and he will fight anybody.

He is obsessed with Money and Fame.

He only make fights that are best for him at the time, and thats usually the more lucrative fights, unless he is using a lesser fight to set up a bigger fight down the road.

Arum only used the Floyd scared talk (to the media) as a smear campaign against Floyd when he knew Floyd was making business moves to get to Oscar (which at the time was Arums other enemy).

I also respect Manny, but the way you lay out the chain of events make it hard to defend whats going on with team Pac.

Team Pac are the ones that made comments like "Floyd, come out of retirement, we will knock you out too" when Floyd was retired.

This Fight is big stage/check for Manny and Floyd.

You have 2 fighters considered by many to be unbeatable, both in the same era, both currently in the same division, both have a massive audience, both have the world demanding for them to fight.

Very rare.

Manny must take the Fight.

Roach all along has been talking about various fights for 2010. Doesn't Roach speak for Pac? Wouldn't he know? And Pacquiao, when asked on Nov 14, said nothng about elections.

bro, i've been trying to point that out for the longest now....floyd's not scared of anybody, and doesn't "duck" fights, he takes the fight's are most lucrative options for him.

if PW or mosley would be a blockbuster fight for him right now, like the pacman fight, there's no doubt in my mind that he'd be looking to get those fights done.....but haters will hate.

easier to gain weight, than it is to lose weight bro....that's why fighters, as their careers go on, usually move UP in weight, not down.

understood, but when u move up in weight, it slows u down and it is uncertain if ur power will come up with u...thats what makes all these multi division champs like pac, de la hoya, mayweather, ray leonard, hearns, duran, armstrong so great

btw...fighters usually dont move up TWO weight classes to test that out
