If you think about it, this is the best fight that can be made for Hopkins. Both Dawson and Bute are dangerous opponents for Hopkins, but Dawson is hard to negotiate with because the fans the sanctioning bodies and Dawson himself make negotiating difficult.

I do not see Hopkins vs Dawson happening, Hopkins vs Bute..maybe.

only the normal amount.

At one point in the final round he headbutted the **** out of Ornelas and the ref didn't see it and waved them to fight on.

Ornelas turned his back and winced in pain and Hopkins didn't attack cause he knew he had hammered him with his head.

It was an interesting display of dirty fighting followed by good sportsmanship.

Of course he does. All everyone in Bernards camp wants is for him to fight smaller guy and guys who can't punch back.

How would he be smaller if they both fight at 168? It couldn't be a catchweight for Bute's title....


Anyways, I don't like this fight. Bute should take a couple easy fights then take on the winner of the super six.

Bernard should fight adamek, dawson or david haye.
