    Why this campaign? Why now?

Politics should be a post boxing endeavor imo.
Do you have a link where Pac accepted a March fight date?

And that campaign period has been on schedule since 3 YEARS AGO! What are you a dumbass asking "why now"?

The election period has a specific timeplan and Pac has been readying for it eversince he lost in his previous one and the reason why he also transferred residence status so he can get a chance of winning in his wife's province.

Your opinion is only that, an opinion, Pac doesn't care anything about that opinion of yours if he wants to box or become politician just as he deosn't care about me either if i want him to stay in boxing too.

Roach made claims on Pacs behalf that they wanted to fight in March and then when Floyd accepted, they backed down.
Roach is his trainer and on Team Pac and speaks for Manny.

Not only am I asking why now, I am asking why at all.
What is pac going to bring to the table politically?
What are his values? What issues is he campaining on?

Trainer Freddie Roach has confirmed BoxingScene.com's big scoop over the weekend; Manny Pacquiao may move up to 154-pounds to target a world title shot against undefeated WBA champion Yuri Foreman. Foreman and Pacquiao are both promoted by Top Rank. Roach, who will be in Amir Khan's corner this Saturday, told British press that Floyd Mayweather Jr. doesn't want to fight Pacquiao in March, and Manny doesn't want to wait until May or June to fight again - likely due to a possible election run as noted earlier by BoxingScene's Ronnie Nathanielsz.

"Mayweather doesn't want to fight in March, so we might fight for the 154 pound title in March and move up for that eighth world title. I'm thinking about that still and it's something that I'm kicking around in my head right now," Roach said.

"Yuri Foreman might be the opponent. It is a possibility, and then Mayweather in September. If they guarantee me that, we'll do that, but I need more of a commitment from Mayweather because he's not negotiating too well. It has to happen, and with the money they are going to make out of it, I feel it will happen. Mayweather can't make that money with anybody else."

Bernard Hopkins, a partner in Golden Boy Promotions [who are backing Mayweather], told BoxingScene.com over the weekend that Pacquiao would likely face Foreman before Mayweather, and Floyd would likely fight Shane Mosley - should he beat Andre Berto in January.

Floyd offers the fight at a legitimate weight, with a even split at a date that Manny and his team has previously mentioned AND an alternative date he also mentioned.

And still, people are not giving him credit and saying offering the fight is a ***** move and complaining about some bogus election that was irrelevant before Floyd offered the fight.

Listen, just give the guy some credit for trying to make the fight happen.
What do you expect from a group of nitwit haters. They will not be satisfied with anything Floyd does and even though it looks as if their "god", Manny Pacquaio is on the verge of backing out of the fight, they still criticize Mayweather.

You're all being ridiculous, how can Pac be considered a 'god', that is so blasphemous even for an atheist.

Pac is not and will never be backing out on a fight with Mayweather! He want to expose Floyd's ass!

It's floyd who made a ***** move here as i have been saying all along that a May fight is just not possible nor earlier (though i want it too).

Floyd deserves to be criticized with all the contradiction he has done and for RIPPING OFF US BOXING (CASUAL) FANS!
