you also twist facts, however. Mayweather has been a ww for 4 years and 1 month and was retired for 21 months meaning hes been an active ww for about 2 and a half years. He never avoided Mosley before he retired. He tried to make the fight and shane didnt want it at the time. Its only now that shane calls him out and floyd is trying to fight pac. He cant be ducking mosley when hes trying to fight the top guy. Cottos camp never showed interest in floyd. Floyd tried at 140. Yes there wad Margarito but Arum wanted options on floyds future with that fight and it may have hurt the chances to get the oscar fight so he took baldomir who was the ww champ for the same money.

When Floyd was at 140 was Floyd an elite fighter?
What options did Arum want when the Margarito deal was presented? Arum already had Floyd under contract. It was Floyd who wanted guarantees that Arum couldn't guarantee. And, it was Floyd who paid $750,000 to buy out his contract with Arum.Comment

Shane wanted in January not November. Shane was willing to fight him in 2007.

Yes on that one, sir.
Just Floyd's resume below 140 made him elite, at that time.
Don't forget, Cotto was there to witness the Gatti fight. He didn't look all that inspired to go seeking out Mayweather in that film did he.
. . .
Tapatio. Fact remains... If Floyd were doing what Pac is doing, you guys would be throwing **** all over him for ducking.
Hell... You were throwing **** all over him, assuming the worst, when we were WAITING for negotiations and nothing had even been said yet!
And I'm a fan of both fighters.Comment

You seriously think that Arum would just give Floyd 8 million to fight Margarito who was basically an unknown at that point with no strings attached? Also keep in mind that Oscar and Arum had serious beef at that point so if Floyd wanted Oscar getting away from Arum even if it involved turning down big paydays needed to happean.Comment
