You need to have lots of different qualities to beat someone like Klitschko. You can't just come in with a good jab on its own, or a good hook, or speed, defence, power etc. You pretty much need to have it all. Being physically big doesn't hurt either.

So in other words you need power, speed, good double jab, movement, arsenal of punches, and a reasonable chin, with physical size being a plus point as well.
This Johnson guy has a couple of qualities, but not enough it seems.
