Arum doesn't not get 27% of Pacquiao's purse. The Muhammad Ali Act specifically says it is against federal law for a promoter to double dip on the revenue of a fight. If Bob Arum has a stake in the live gate, PPV, Ads, etc.... he can not touch Manny Pacquiao's purse. If, and I believe it is, the 27% is in Manny's promotional contract it is in there specifically to protect Arum if Manny would fight on another promoter's card where Arum had no revenue stream off of the fight. This is irrellevant now because Manny is so big that there is absolutely no way he will ever fight on a non Top Rank promoted card.
The second part may be true that Mayweather stands to make more money than Pacquiao because Mayweather most likely will get a bigger cut of PPV thatn Manny. That is assuming that he didn't give away the farm to Schaeffer in his negotiations with him. Suppose each purse was 20 million and it sold 2 million PPV's at $60 and the fight took place in a 30,000 seat venue with an average ticket price of $500.00.
Manny
20 million purse
$5 of 2 million PPV buys = 10 million
TOTAL - 30 million - Roach, training camp expenses, taxes, etc....
Floyd
20 million purse
$10 of 2 million PPV buys - 20 million
TOTAL - 40 million - Roger, training camp expenses, taxes, etc...
Arum
15 million dollar live gate
$10 of 2 million PPV buys - 20 million
TOTAL - 35 million - undercard expense, fight related expenses, taxes, and too many more expenses to list
The wild card to this whole thing is what Mayweather's deal with GBP is. I wrote this theoretical basically showing GBP take as $5 of the PPV buys at 2 million which would make them 10 million dollars. In my mind GBP isn't even needed and is just bad business on Mayweather's part which will cost him millions of dollars. Top Rank and HBO will promote the **** out of this thing that will pretty much sell itself. GBP involvement does mean it will probably be back on the big screens in theatres though which was pretty damn cool.
Feel free to pick this apart as it is simply hypothetical but it is probably pretty acurate as far as the break down goes.

BS, I am still not convinced that Floyd is under contract with GBP. Mayweather Promotions appears to be a fraud. What fighters does Mayweather Promotions promote? What card have they promoted?

Mayweather is making FAR more than Pacquiao.
