The Green-Jones fight proves

Jones was clearly not in his prime, his last prime fight imo was the Ruiz one. I don’t remember anyone thinking Roy was in his prime against Johnson that’s a new one on me. And you don’t measure a fighters age numerically so to speak, Fighters get old at different ages Bowe was shot by the time he was 30 yet Glen Johnson peaked in his mid 30’s and Roy's style was based very much on reactions rather than conventional boxing he did things wrong which actually worked well when he had his amazing reactions of the 90's but that style was always going to suffer when he got older in comparison to a Bhop.Comment

I think his punch resistance has gone down over the years, which is natural. I don't think he's always had bad punch resistance though, he took pretty good shots in his prime. And the shot that he got hit with was around the temple/ear area, very sensitive spot.Comment

....... that Roy has always had a bad chin.
Finally, we can put the whole "He was coming down in weight" Nonsense to bed.
Roy IN HIS PRIME was knocked out by the mediocre Tarver and the mediocre Johnson.
Okay, cue plenty of responses filled with polemic and revisionist history.....
another LMAO@ "Roy lost to Tarver & Jonhson is his prime"
If you think Roys Prime was when he was 35 years old...you're clinically insaneComment
