If he wins he should get a shot at the winner of bradley-peterson
or maybe a fight with urango or campbell

That wasnt the best argument to use by team Malignaggi. He did out land him but look at how much he out landed him by:

        Total Punches:
        Diaz- 178/663 (27%)
        Malignaggi- 191/949 (20%)

Malignaggi outlands him by only 13 total punches

        Power Punches:
        Diaz- 123/434 (28%)
        Malignaggi- 80/328 (24%)

Diaz outlands him by 43 power punches

In the end it was a close fight with Diaz landing the harder, more accurate meaningful punches.

But looking at other punch stats,

        Total Punches:
        Cotto- 179/723 (25%)
        Clottey- 222/622 (36%)

Clottey outlands Cotto by 53 total punches

Malignaggi, does New York hand out gifts too?

If the judges for this fight are any combination of Gale Van Hoye, Dave Moretti, Adalaide Byrd or Larry O'Connell, then Malignaggi ain't winning this by decision. He'll actually have to go for his first stoppage in 6 years to pull it off. :conf2:

I'm sure he'll win this, but I don't trust any judges nowadays - especially after that pathetic display on the weekend.

              Diaz by tko

malignaggi outpunched him by 13 punches but had over 40 less power punches and a way worse percentage so he missed way more... He will get knocked out in Chi town than maybe he can fight Junior the quitter witter...

Those stats are pointless because, among other things, they are "counted" over the entire fight. Fights are scored round by round.

i doubt diaz will come close to knocking paulie out considering diaz had practically no power at lightweight so i doubt he will at jr. welterweight.

Maligaggi needs to shut his ***in mouth, he ***s himself over by dissing all the judges and refs before the fight even starts...not a good way to get the nod if its a close fight...I got Diaz in this one.
