Apologies, I had heard nothing about his until now. Nothing was even said at the weigh-in. It sounds like a "gentlemens agreement" of sorts.
As far as I know there was no financial penalty for coming in above that weight.
It was agreed upon even before Jones-Lacy (when Green fought on the undercard). Jones wanted a limit of no more than 180 to avoid history repeating itself, since he's coming back three or so months later for the Hopkins fight at LHW.
How funny though, that Erdei fights for a more credible title (relatively speaking), and gives away nearly 20 lb in capturing it without regards to a catchweight. Jones and Green are nobody's cruiserweights, yet the stipulation to come in 20 lb below the division's limit.
As far as I'm concerned, this is just an over-the-limit LHW fight.

Exactly my thoughts. They weighed just a few pounds over the LHW limit and they looked nothing like average sized cruiserweights. Never heard of the catchweight agreement until now. I did expect both of them to look much bigger at weigh in.
