Pac running for congress unopposed? Sounds fishy, the neighbouring congressman ran unopposed for the last 3 elections. And he just went in jail for killing his possible opposition and 60+ other people.

Not saying that Pac does it but.......

He's not running unopposed as far as I'm concerned.

He's running against the son of a powerful clan that owns most of the land in Saranggani. Hopefully Pac loses (and he will, as observed by friends I know who comes from the place) so he keeps his name clean and help out his people in the best way possible.

Would you run for it if you knew you were likely to be threatened, bribed, ****ed up or killed?

Politics is crooked everywhere, but in poor countries it's totally ****ed up.

that governor you are talking about was leaving office soon.

he wanted his son to replace him and run for his office.

another politician decided to run against his son. this is what happened when he tried to file to be a candidate.

pacman should run, he must, if only to protect his business interests and his wealth. if he has political power, politicians cant touch him. if he has not, better live somewhere else, better migrate. politicians are leeches, they will get everything they can from pacman, theyll pressure him to give in to their wishes to the detriment of his business interests. his running for a political office is proof how intelligent he is. it is a gambit, one move in a chess game of survival, afterwhich another move for dominance. he had built his wealth thru sheer guts, he will never let it be unprotected. hes a different kind of guy, intelligent, cunning, and most of all competitive in a beastly sense. he has grown so big now that he doesnt fit in a 20ft boxing ring anymore, it is small for his size now, hes looking for a bigger arena, and what is bigger than the political ring? and what is more cruel, more violent than an electoral match?

hah! WAR PACMAN! sky is the limit!!! you earned it go for what will satisfy you!

Troops were finding a couple of bodies every hour or so, and officials were still trying to get the exact number of family members, political supporters and journalists who were intercepted by about 100 gunmen Monday and taken to a remote mountainous area.

"We're hopeful that some people escaped, and we're hoping to find them alive," said Interior Secretary Ronaldo Puno.

Police said the convoy of about 40 people was going to register Ismael Mangudadatu, vice mayor of Buluan township, to run for provincial governor when they were stopped.

He refused to name the witnesses or offer other details.

"It was really planned because they had already dug a huge hole (for the bodies)," Mangudadatu said.

It would be the "largest single massacre of journalists ever," according to Paris-based Reporters Without Borders.
