Its a 50/50 thing to me. I agree with everyone who says that the rules are the rules and if you can make it then fine but whose to say that the rules are right? There were rules of segregation once also but that didnt make it right. Maybe the rules should be that you have to weigh-in the day of the fight. Height has never been a factor to me because everyone is built different but I do think its unfair when guys have height & weight. I dont think things are truly even if one guy rehydrates only 2 pounds after the weighin while the other guy rehydrated 17 pounds. I just dont know if thats truly fair or not. Some will say that the guy who only gains 2 pounds should go down in weight but what if he really cares about his health and doesnt ever want to have to go through hell to lose weight because he thinks thats bad for his long term health? IDK if the answer is same day weighins but maybe we should think about making a rehydration limit because Ive seen plenty of fights where 2 guys weighin the same and the next night one guy has a 15 pound or more advantage in the ring

honestly tho, there is a reality and the reality is that if 2 men step into the ring in the same condition with the same skill, but one is 7 inches taller than the other, he will have the upper hand punching much downward than upward. punchin upward is faster exhausting.

are you down for paul williams vs pacquiao?

think about it. williams has a 9 inch height advantage over pacquiao.

here is williams against a taller fighter than pacquiao:

here is williams against a 6 foot 1 fighter:

here is williams next to a tall heavy weight:

I would not call him a fraud, just someone who knows how to use their advatage properly. You have to fight him on the inside, Campbell was able to to that and knocked him down a couple times, not every fighter is capable of overcomming that advantage though and you are right for guys of a similar level that is a tough task but speedy guys of a simlar level to less speedy guys also have a pretty large advantage.
that's a good point and for a guy like guzman who is a slick fighter that doesn't have a lot of power, fighting funeka was nearly impossible I mean he had to constantly put pressure on funeka and stay on the inside that was his only chance and that's pretty much the opposite of how guzman fights.

I understand what you're saying but I feel if thats the case, we should dismiss catchweights, overturn robberies or go by a number system in scoring a fight, not allow the fight to go on if the fighter is weight drained. Make sport as perfect as possible...which ain't about to happen. Compared to the things I just mentioned, height is an advantage/disadvantage like all the other attributes a fighter may/may not have.

I'm down for any fight that isn't a catchweight. But I personally think P Williams should be @ 168 because he bitches and moans too much about "no one wants to fight me". The guys at 168lbs fear no one and avoid no one. But Williams wouldn't dare enter that league of beast. Bute, Andrade, A Green, Miranda, Abraham, Kessler, Froch, Ward, Dirrell, Bika, and more would all fight him hands down!

Paul Williams looks like a crack head in these pics by the way, and I'm not joking, I'm being serious.

I guess he is not breaking any rules so he is not cheating.....but yes just like what PWill was doing at WW, he is infact a larger man than everyone he is fighting and I don't like it but there is nothing I can do about him beating up LWs while he is a WW-JMW.
