Hazegawa is the man, dying to see him kickass over here.
He's gonna have to make some sacrifices.
It's one thing to say it, it's another thing to do it. There have been no shortage of great fighters with perfect records who claimed they wanted to fight in the States but never did because they weren't willing to sacrifice anything and had grown used to sweetheart deals.
wtf are you talking about? donaire has been wanting to take on japanese champs for the longest but the japs dont want to give any threatening non jap fighters a title shot in order to keep titles in japanese hands.
Because he is one of the most complete fighters right now in boxing. I mean If anyone has had the privilege of seeing one of his recent fights, you know watching him is a thing of beauty.
Even though he makes alot of cash fighting in Japan, He has mentioned several times he wants to fight here for world wide recognition. I'm just really hoping Donaire, Darchinyan, Sonsona, or one of those guys step up to the plate and make a fight happen.
He might fight Sonsona at 122 but that fight makes sense in Asia if you really look at it.
I doubt he will fight Donaire or Darchinyan since I hear that Hasegawa is moving up to 122. Maybe he fights the Cuban fighter Rigendoux(spelling?) in his U.S debut. That could be a fight that can made in Florida. And, it will be a good fight
I don't exactly see why Hasegawa would come to the US, there would need to be a fighter with real star power that would draw him here. I am pretty sure he by himself in can make more in Japan than the purse of him and his opponent combined fighting on US soil. Aslong as he fights high quality dudes so be it, it is really hard to be a star in the US in the very light weightclasses, also he is in the prime of his career so he would have to spend a bunch of time just to get known to the American public and who knows if that would actually work out for him.
I just don't see how it works unless there is a megafight for him, which I don't see on the horizon.

Japan doesn't recognize the ibf or the wbo. That's why naito didn't fight donaire
i'd like to see hasegawa vs abner mares, he's ranked 3 by the WBC and it'd be a good undercard fight. Hasegawa is my third favorite fighter, he's sick
