Williams doesn't weigh 160 anyway, he comes in around 156,157 for middleweight fights, so he's not going to have any real size/weight advantage over Martinez. He might want to get used to the weight, as he plans on fighting for Pavlik's title at 160 in his next fight.

The guy fought Margarito at 147, Winky Wright at 160, and was 100% game to fight Kelly Pavlik at 160. To claim that he's a ***** makes you lose all credibility. PW is everything that's right with boxing.
The best post on this topic.......

He was willing to fight Berto...Mosley..Mayweather...Clottey .Cintron...Marg....Cotto and Quitnana ALL AT 147.

And Hopkins, and Pavlik and now Martinez...
    Paul wil fight anybody.

Martinez gets to keep his 154 Title...****ING NUMBNUTS.

Please post the link that says Martinez requested the fight at 160 for the specific reason of holding onto his belt at 154. Also, it is convenient that you didn't offer a single coherent explanation until other posters came in and gave you one. Regardless, the link would be excellent.

According to boxingscene the reason given by Williams was that he was training for a 160 fight with Pavlik.........................

He cannot. I just went through most articles on boxingscene on the topic. 160 lbs was negotiated. To be fair it appears as if Martinez quickly ok'ed it. Wheter it was because of the big payday or the preservation of the belt is not known. Since the weight obviously is to Williams advantage I'd say it's because of the payday.

Paul Williams is a pretty good fighter, but he really has a lot of hype surrounding him.

Who said Martinez beats Williams? I for one didn't, and several others didn't either. So this whole repeating yourself about picking Martinez means nothing.

I'm a big Cotto fan, and can say with confidence, Cotto only does that when paying homage to the King of Pop.
