  • Roach said March would be too soon, they need at least May. Yes I heard that.

It's also true that staying on the ropes and being hit by Cotto was not part of the gameplan. Pac said "I can take his punches" so, did Roach saw that coming? no!

What if Pac wants a piece of Floyd by March before any political distractions come on may 10?

Freddie wants Pac to rest, but does Pac want to rest? This thing is so easy.

Cancel the Matthew Hatton fight then sign the contract and fight at March. as simple as that.

There are only two guys at 154 he should be fighting, 1) Sergio Martinez (current WBA champ) or 2) PW if he beats Martinez. Any other ABC belt holder would be a joke.

people talk about money avoiding the big fighter, I think its time people started questing Manny's legacy.
Based on your post count, your hiding on an alt, very brave of you.

Martinez and Pwill will fight... and it will be one grueling battle and after that they need 2 months for injuries to heal. They wont have enough time to train for a March fight.

Calling Yuri Foreman "The Weakest Title Holder" proves how ignorant you are at the sport.
You go beat Santos like that, let's see what weak is. Did you see his win over the slugger Tsurkan? Yuri got mad skills. You base your facts on just one fight of Foreman that you saw.

Yep, but I think during that time he didn't know that May 10th is election day for PI. Manny can't train while campaigning (2 months campaign period b4 election May 10th), so March should make the most sense and feasible.

          • This is total bull****. It is obvious to me and any objective viewer that it is Bob Arum who doesn't want the fight. Bob Arum wants to milk all he can out of Pacquaio before he sacrifices him to Mayweather. This sounds like the same crap he pulled with Kelly Pavlik -- pulling out of the Paul Williams fight and then announcing a fight with a weak opponent two weeks later. If Pac wants a fight in March, why wouldn't Pac fight a rematch with Marquez instead of another fight against a stiff? After all, Mayweather is planning to fight a tough fight in Mosley next.

I am sure all the Mayweather haters on this site will blame Mayweather, but I said before the Cotto fight that Arum didn't want this fight and he is obviously going to find a way to get out of it.

First of all, it is Pacquaio who is backing out, not Floyd. Secondly, Floyd/Pac would generate more than 100 million if they fight each other next.

Do you mean the way Oscar was drained in moving down to fight Pac? I think it is ironic that Pac is considering moving up to 154 to fight Yuri, but couldn't fight Cotto at 147.

Floyd already beat Hatton ass for 10 rds and Pac just came and fought the last 2 rds
De La Hoya was a deadman walking at 147 any fighter would have beat him that night

Pac just fought them at the right time its not like he fought them when they were on top of there game

                  now Floyd's last 3 fights?
Marquez #2 P4P and just knocked out Juan Diaz
Hatton was undefeated and just knocked out Castillo
De La Hoya was at 154 after he just knocked out Mayorga

i mean just look at where these guys were in there carrer when Pac fought them and where they were when Floyd fought them so how can you say Pac had 3 hard fights now he deserves a tuneup when Floyd just had 3 hard fights and been off 2 years but he doesn't?
I love it when the facts speak for themselves.

Its fine with me if Pac goes for the 8th Crown !
I must have missed something. When was it announced that Floyd was fighting someone other than Pacquaio? I am not talking about the bull**** rumors that you and every other hater likes to jump on whenever it involves Floyd Mayweather. I am talking about an actual announcement of Floyd's next fight.

He did by draining DLH into a smaller weaker fighter, Pacquiao actually weighed more than DLH in that fight. Roach said it himself, "I saw the IV marks in his arm in the ring". He should be fighting Mayweather regardless of the other BS. Bottom line he never fights any slick black boxers, always the same mexican straight ahead style fighters. None in their prime only war torn washed up ones from 112 to 145lbs.
