Roach said Pacquiao needed more time to "prepare" for a fight like Mayweather. He never said rest. That's Roach's opinion. Pacquiao is the boss and if he wants to fight in March, then he fights in March.

Yea, but Roach making it seem as if Mayweather is the reason that Pac will fight Foreman in March. Roach all along wanted until about April or May to "prepare" for Floyd. Now, Floyd doesn't want to fight in March. I don't get that BPP. I ain't buying it.

Yuri can box and he takes his time and picks his shots wisely.

However, Floyd and Manny need to fight now. Roach talking about how Floyd don't want to fight in March, but Roach is the same guy that said that March would be too early for Manny to fight Floyd. Because he would need to heal and prepare. I ain't buying the Pac-Foreman talks. Fight Floyd. Floyd fight Pac.

Yep, Foreman at 148-149. And the sad thing is, Foreman will do it because the money will be too good. I'm sick of catchweights. For instance, Roach will argue that WW is in the realm of 140 to 147. I agree, so let's have a WW fight within that realm meaning that a fighter can come in at the 147 limit if they choose. Don't limit the champs of a division. And if you do fight at catchweight it shouldn't be a title fight. Fans will argue that Cotto only came in 1 lb less than his fight with Clottey. One pound makes a big difference and if it didn't matter why would Roach even fight for it in negotiations? It's one thing to make a living as a fighter, it's another to exploit through star power and the promises of undisclosed bonuses and the biggest payday of your life.

What's going on here is they've realized that FLoyd isn't going to give in to concessions like everybody else has. Pac will fight a JMW, but he needed a catchweight to fight Cotto?

Pac is not as small as they want us to believe.

Actually he DID say he needed rest.

                      hEre it is..

"May or June, in that ballpark," Roach said about when he thought the fight should happen. "March may be too close to get a big fight like that going. I'd like to see Manny take a rest and then get into it. We'll have a change in sparring partners and style because Mayweather is so different than our last four opponents [Cotto, Ricky Hatton, De La Hoya and David Diaz]. We have to study him really hard. But I know Mayweather really well. I just need Manny to see what I see.

It's been only two days since Manny Pacquiao's historic 12th-round knockout of Miguel Cotto but already the focus is firmly on a potential Pacquiao showdown with Floyd Mayweather Jr.
