Id have to say seeing Gatti live in Boardwalk Hall winning the vacan WBC title and than being feet awat from Thunder when was walking back to the drssing room w/ his new title. Next his KO's of Dorin, and Leija were prettty awesome live too come in a close 2nd. To me nothing beats the atmosphere of a live boxing event.
On TV the last fight I was most impressed w/ was John Duddy KOing Pierre in the first round on March 18th.
From my lifetime if would be Douglas slapping a wobbling Tyson down to the mat. Man, that fight changed everything.
Right on, that was one of my 1st boxing memories as a kid....
The fight that got me interested in boxing was Bowe-Holyfield 2, great fight with ebbs and flows and the FanMan....
The fight that got me a big fan was Moorer-Foreman, as a south-paw i rooted for Moorer, and I kinda thought the fight was a mismatch, then in the 10th round, George pulls off the impossible....maybe the most amazing thing I've ever witnessed in sports....
The fights that got me hooked & made boxing my favorite sport were the 1st 2 Boxing After Dark shows, I had watched Barrera on Fight Night at the Forum for years, and watching him in a thrilla on HBO vs. a respected fighter like McKinney was the illest fight that B.A.D. could ever have (Tapia on the undercard too)....then Gatti-Rodriguez, need I say more....
attending Holyfield-Tyson 2, Lewis-Klitschko, Tua-Ibeabuchi, Mayorga-Forrest 2, and Barrera-Morales 2, were fun too
