Questions regarding the process of becoming and being a professional boxer :-)

    Hello forum.
I'm doing a research project on the process of becoming a professional and being a professional boxer.
As boxing forums is often where fellow boxing enthusiasts reside, I thought, why not go here and ask some questions, so here they go! :-)

How did you get into boxing or/and what made you start boxing?

How does your typical day start?

How many times do you go to the gym?

What is (accordingly to you) the most important part of being a boxer?

How much does a good boxer dedicate himself and how much do you dedicate yourself to the sport?

What is the best part about boxing?

What did/do you sacrifice to become the boxer you're today?

Who is your favorite boxer and why?

I know there's a couple of questions, but I sincerely hope you will take the time to answer it, no answer is dumb or too short..
And if you want to, you can leave me your full name in a private message if you want to be cited on it, if not, I will cite you on your screen name. :-)

    Peace out.

How did you get into boxing or/and what made you start boxing?
getting bullied then stubling upon mike tyson - beyond the glory on tv and seeing how intimadating he was.

How does your typical day start?
breakfast, computer, stretch, run or weights depending on the day, shower, lunch, gym, home, shower, then i go hang out with my friends.

How many times do you go to the gym?
    3 - 5 times a week

What is (accordingly to you) the most important part of being a boxer?
    disipline, diet, dedication.

How much does a good boxer dedicate himself and how much do you dedicate yourself to the sport?
a good boxer dedicates his life for boxing and right now im somewhat dedicated to boxing because i have other minor goals to complete before i 100 percent dedicate myself.

What is the best part about boxing?
for me its getting in shape and displaying my skills and for well known fighters its the money, women, fame, and respect as well as getting into shape and displaying there skills.

What did/do you sacrifice to become the boxer you're today?
ive sacrifed my health, money, and time but its been worth it so far.

Who is your favorite boxer and why?
i have to many favorite boxers but some of them are pernell whitaker because of skills, bernard hopkins for his mentality and for the things hes accomplished, and mike tyson for his aura and his exciting syle of fighting.

    that was fun!

Becoming a boxer is easy. Becoming a good boxer is the hard part.

How did you get into boxing or/and what made you start boxing?
Ok i am not a pro yet i am making my debut on january.. I had an ok amateur career i been boxing for almost 5 years,, and i am from mexico and will make my debut here ( monterrey nuevo leon )

How does your typical day start?
                  roadwork 5am ( thats why i am awake )

How many times do you go to the gym?
                  6 times a week aprox 2 hours a day

What is (accordingly to you) the most important part of being a boxer?
                  determination

How much does a good boxer dedicate himself and how much do you dedicate yourself to the sport?
almost entirely i dont drink i almost dont go out at all, I guess ive never been really social, but i do study so thats the other thing that takes my time ( nutritional sciences )

What is the best part about boxing?
I feel really alive when i fight, most of the time i feel like a prisoner on this society but when i am training or in the ring i feel free ( trippy i know )

What did/do you sacrifice to become the boxer you're today?
I dont know i guess ive always had a hunger to be stronger thats why i was in the army thats why i fight, it makes me feel so alive, i would love to live out of my dream

Who is your favorite boxer and why?
Not sure.... too many to mention them but if i had to pick one to watch over and over it would be Arturo Gatti his fights just move me on the inside.

About being a fighter just dedicate yourself get into a serious boxing gym, ask around the city about a serious one if you dont know, and you will be fighting soones than expected believe me.

You can turn pro virtually the first day you go to a gym, but an amateur career its highly recommended
