    Anyone remember this Miguel Cotto?

Maybe some people forget how much a beast Cotto was at 140, weight drained and when he was healthy at 140. He was quick, strong and rentless. Look at this fight againest Kelson Pinto, Cotto was straight beast.

Even though he still has speed at 147, he looks like he lost a step or two since his 140 days. But he was a beast back in the day.

Cotto was a mini Mike Tyson in that fight against Pinto. The left hook was a thing of beauty and that body attack was sensational. The thing is 147 pounders can take his punches much better and he has to box more. But in his best days at 140 Cotto was unstoppable.

One thing I notice in his last few fights is that Cotto doesn't have the pop or power he used to have just a few years ago,he doesn't have the body attack he used to have either and his face can't handle punches like it used to.

Cotto needs a new trainer and he needs to reinvent himself to a more safe boxer who takes less chances. His jab is still one of the best in the sport so he can pot shot off that.

Yeah, I agree. A new trainer is the first step and I will be disappointed if he kept Joe as the head [which I feel he will do]. I think he needs to work on his right hand to make it another weapon, when you have two hands someone really needs to worry about you become even more dangerous. And I notice againest Margarito and Pacquiao he was more intent on going to their head instead of hitting the body more. His jab is a thing of beauty but I feel he relies on it too much, though i think recently everything is mental with him and just needs to be tweaked with a new trainer.

that fight was before his wars he is a different fighter. But it does seem his power has somewhat diminished which suprises me cause it was there when he went up to 147. Also cotto was a relentless body puncher, he still hits to the body but not as much which could play a role too.

Pinto was no elite fighter but he was a solid fighter and was undefeated when Cotto destroy him.

Cotto was a monster at 147 when he was undefeated. That's was the fight that will seal Gayweather legacy but too bad Gay was to chicken to test Cotto.

Cotto was always a beast. Even when he fought Pac. He was like a scarred battle worn tiger. He wasn't as ferocious, but he was more experienced and wiser. Cotto is a smarter fighter now.

I laugh at people who think he can't fight elites anymore. Cotto will beat Mosley up if they fight again. I still think he'd destroy Mayweather since his style is bad news for Floyd.
