Yeah, i dont think he'd even be mentioned without having Pac, and i cant really say Pac's benefited from it, i wouldnt say he's hurt Pac either, i just dont see what impact he's had at all,Pac could have done what he did with barrara with most any other Trainer i think.

just because your fighter does not win his fight, that doesn't mean the trainer is bad...

Roach could have trained his fighter 100x greatness...but on fight night, it is up to the fighter to perform...in the end, the fighter deals with himself and his opponent...

Maybe Pacman just couldn't adjust. You would think after the Marquez fight Roach would have tried to make Pacman a little more rounded. Then again maybe it takes more time than Roach had. The bottom line is Pacquiao should have been ready for Morales to counterpunch him. What else could he expect him to do after watching the Marquez fight.

I think its the cut that made Pac abruptly change his game plan from body-shots first then go after the head to all-head and go for the kill....Couldn't blame him since the fight could have been stopped at any point in time since the cut

IMO the trainer still plays a big part on fight night... just like what i read before, if roach is more like a buddy mcgirt who gives instructions between rounds on what the opponent is doing and what to do to neutralize it, then roach could be the best outthere... roach is all about respect... tyson and manny are happy go lucky guys but when it comes to training, roach has their attention... that's a big factor for a trainer...
