Oscar lost the ring belt to Mosley. And, if you say he did then who did he beat to get it back? Cuz Mayorga was not ring champ.
I never said Gatti was not a ring champ. I said Mayweather won a belt vs Gatti.

Oscar was the ring champion @ 154. Lineal is "the guy who beat the guy". Ring is based entirely different. It's like saying Baldomir is the lineal but is he the #1 WW? No.....

Oscar was ring champ, deal with it.

hatton was the ring champion at 140 but floyd didn't fight him at 140.

Hatton is true, that that is still a ring champion.

he was ring champ at 154 4-5 years before floyd fought him.

he wasn't ring champ at 154 when floyd beat him.

Who did Oscar beat to be the ring champ?

Both Karmazin and Spinks were ranked higher than him at the time...

there's a difference between being ranked #1 and being the ring champion.

corrales and castillo was ranked #1 at 130 and 135 when floyd beat them but they were not ring champion.

corrales and castillo did not win a ring belt 'til years later at 135.

Is not wrong. Castillo was not ring champ. The ring belt was vacant. Floyd won the vacancy ring title with Castillo. Cuz Floyd was ranked #1 and Castillo #2.

Corrales never won the ring title at 130.

Damn that I don't know... I want to say he won the vacant WBO by beating Randall Bailey but don't quote me on that.

Ok, than I have been wrong my entire life on this then. Please explain how being ranked #1 is diffrent than a ring champion.

But if you want to talk resume wise, Corrales and Castillo went on to win world championships after mayweather beating them as well as C.hernandez and Jesus Chavez..which speaks volumes for his resume.

                    I'm off to bed.

LOL What does poor Floyd have to do to get some credit for being what he really is: The best of this generation and one of the all time true greats? I think Floyd already has a pretty good resume. Pacquiao's a little better right now but a win over Pacquiao will set Floyd apart, that's why he's fighting him. Floyd knows what he's doing.
