  • 8 division titlist is cool and all, but yuri foreman has no business getting in there with manny. If it does happen it should be on world championship boxing and not hbo ppv. But anyways I think Manny should fight Berto(win or lose vs. shane). He'd be the perfect tuneup for Mayweather. But if Berto beats Shane, then Floyd is stuck or will probly look for an opponent to fight in England. Aint no way we're seeing Floyd vs. Berto tho..

Shortly before the Oscar-Mayweather fight, Oscar, in an interview, said he had no problem with the weight, that after a sparring session -maybe a training session- he weighed in at 143.5 lbs. At fight time, I think he was still below 147, or maybe a pound or two over 147, am not certain, so his re=hydration didn't work, a sure sign that his body was protesting and rejecting. He was like a skinned rabbit.

And as we saw during the fight, he could hardly move, without stumbling, legs completely gone, arms-fists as slow as poured molasses etc.etc. He knew himself that he couldn't make any sort of opposition, but went ahead, because of the money.

With Oscar, it's ALWAYS about the money, never mind what else he says.

If the early talk of the purse being a 50-50 split is true, why all this BS from Arum? Hopkins is obviously part of GBP, so he would have an idea of what's going on in negotiation talks. I don't think there's any reason to doubt him.
Also, it's amazing how much of a pass Pac gets for beating nobodies. He's being called an ATG by some people out there. Why? He's beaten fighters that Floyd has already beaten. It doesn't matter what kind of fashion he did so, he still beat them BEFORE Pac did. Why aren't those calling Pac an ATG, giving Floyd the same respect? He doesn't take risks? BS. He destroyed Diego Corrales when Diego was supposed to be the top challenger at lightweight. Knocked him down 5 times I think. Floyd has beaten everyone he's supposed to beat.
Floyd doesn't fight for the fans and he's not supposed to. Who cares if the fans want knockouts? Floyd is the one in the ring risking his life. He's the one with the skills. Not the fans. Floyd doesn't fight any differently than Ali or Roy Jones. Both great boxers.
Hell, Jones never had any real meaningful fights. The biggest names on his record are Toney and Hopkins. Yet you all talk about how good of a boxer he is. Give Floyd his due!!!!!!!!!!!
Cotto...real welterweight? Funny, how is he a real ww, when he started out junior welterweight? How is 145 the ww limit? De la Hoya, real ww? Hadn't fought at welterweight in 9 years before fighting Pac. Pac has not had one real legitimate ww fight. Everything is a catch-weight. Floyd will expose Pac for the fraud he truly is.
He made Corrales come in at 130 lbs. The guy was half dead, maybe three quarters dead. We didn't see the real Corrales that night, nor for the next 2 years because he promptly went off to jail to serve the sentence already looming over him. Poor training for a fight....

            • bhop is just messin w/ everyones heads. there is too much money in a pacquiao-mayweather fight for arum or schafer to screw up the deal. they could do decent numbers with a mayweather-mosley fight though. but a pacquiao-foreman fight? who has even heard of this foreman guy before he was on the undercard. and that performance wasn't enough to leave a real impression on most fans. i think the real fans would smell the bs in that fight. i'd more than welcome a mayweather-mosley fight though. that would be sick! provided mosley gets by berto and doesn't look like a 38yo fighter in doing it. (may still be 37 at the time of the fight, someone fact check me on that im not sure). if there is some pacquiao fight in the mean time to build buzz for the mayweather showdown, which seems ridiculous since i don't know how you can build this fight up even more than it is now, he should keep it at 140+. a relatively safe 140 would keep him busy until then. i know it will never happen but i would love to see pacman in there with devon alexander, tim bradley, or juan urango at 140. those are some serious fights.

When pac fought Oscar, he just came up to LW 135 and do you expect him to move to 154? Dude you are insane or delusional. Oscar agreed & signed the contract so it's not Pacs fault if he came in weight drained. And fact that he's already near the weight limit a month before that fight.

Don't worry Pac will fight FLoyd @ 147.
Ok, if you use this logic then why not open it up to super welterweight too. Everyone from 140 can fight anyone up to 154 without any regard to any weight because it's all welterweight so it shouldn't matter? So again, why bother with the weightclasses? It's all the same. It's no advantage forcing someone to come down a few more pounds is it? Have you ever had to starve and dehydrate to take a couple of extra unnatural pounds off? It's not fun....This catcxh weight **** is ruining the sport. If you are fighting for a BELT at a particular weight...fight at the ****in limit, no catch weights. If there's no belt fight wherever the hell you want I suppose. And if you are a guy who can't make 147...and are scared to fight an actual champion at 147...then don't ****ing fight at 147.. It's great to see the names and the people in those rings...but we're not getting the best of both guys....Pac fan boys calm down too...I like Pac I'm not hating the player...I' hating the game. :gay:

                    • Why the FUC would Pac even consider Foreman? What a disgrace to use Foreman's name in the same sentence with Pac. That's just like Pac fighting Julio Cesar Chavez bull I heard a while back. Pac has no reason to fight anyone with no name he is the ODLH of today he has his expectations set very high, if he were to take on Lames he'll lose fans tremendously. Bhop is not a very smart business man Golden Boy is desssssssssperate. Tank bitches!
