It's just my opinion. People want to know what needs to happen for boxing to be put back on the map in America and I think it's an American Heavyweight.Comment

Arreola would have been much more popular. Kevin Johnson just doesnt really have that stardom ability. but i got ya manComment

I hear you. Your a very good poster. I enjoy reading something besides Floyd this Manny that. Before anyone goes nuts I enjoy reading some of it just not all the time.Comment

yeah i agree with the whole manny/floyd thing. Im fine with an intelligent thread about either guy. its just those filler threads that a fanboy makes that irritate me. it just seems people make threads back and forth to get each other mad.Comment

Very true. Back to the topic at hand...well kind of. Say Johnson beats Vitali. Does the Wlad come to the rescue and take revenge?Comment
-
If that does happen everyone is going to be screaming Vitali lost on purpose to give Wladimir the last title for his collection...i can hear it now...Comment

Yes it would be because we don't know too much about Johnson and what he's capable of. He was impressive against Vargas, but from what I've seen he's still developing as a boxer, and Vitali is someone he's not ready for. When Ali beat Liston despite only having 19 fights, he was ready because he was tested against Doug Jones and Henry Cooper. I can't say that about Johnson.Comment

Lets put it this way, Arreola was more proven than Kevin Johnson, and he wasn't ready to fight Vitali.Comment

Arreola also took it on short notice but i doubt it would of helped any... i agree Johnson is in a sense a "no name" and vitali is by far the best heavyweight in the world. i meen my jaw would be stuck open for months.Comment
