"How ironic that both of Cotto's losses come against opponents who have subsequently been accused of cheating."

    Absolutely awful.

Suspecting that Marg cheated against Cotto AFTER HE WAS CAUGHT RED HANDED prior to fighting Mosley is not even in the same ballpark, city, country, planet, solar system, universe, or multiverse as an incoherent convicted drug dealer throwing out jealousy-fueled baseless accusations of PED usage without a single. shred. of evidence.

Dare I say, this is Manuel Perez-esque.

How so? Here, let me go a little slower this time.

Among many other ways of dis*****g the ridiculous claim that Pac is juicing, people turn to the fact that he's never failed a drug test, with Keith Kizer even coming on board verifying that his drug tests show that he's clean.

Kizer also went on record to suggest that everything was on the up and up for the Margarito-Cotto fight, that Miguel's account of what occurred that night is inaccurate. Yet those who want to accuse Margarito of having cheated all along have not only ignored Kiser's findings but have went as as far as to claim he's a shill for Arum.

My point being that people believe what they want to believe for the sake of suiting their own argument.

What's so hard to understand? It's quite simple, really. Margarito was caught cheating. Fact. He and his trainer were suspended for a year. This casts legitimate doubt on whether or not he cheated in his previous fights, especially the fight immediately preceding the one in which he was caught.

And Pacquiao...Well, Pacquiao kicked Ricky Hatton's ass. Therefore...his fights are suspect? Huh? (After his pupil got KO'd is when Floyd Sr. started spreading his accusations).

See the disconnect? Your article suggests that both accusations should be given equal weight. Do you really believe that?

That was harsh, I apologize. I got carried away there.

I see your point. The only reason I raised it was to dismiss both claims, and draw attention to the fact that Cotto has now caught two career-damaging beatings in just over a year. But yes, I definitely see your point of it being read as if I'm comparing the two.
