Tsyzu should have move up imo and he would have had more lucrative bout and they were all fights i think he would have won, I dont like it when fighters stay in one weight their whole career because at some point in their careers they would struggle to make the weight in a healthy way.
injury really did him over at the end of his career, and that is why he would only take big bouts, as he needed the cash to set himself up for the future.
I think Tszyu was overrated. It's not his fault, but 140 was littered with name fighters past their prime like Roger Mayweather and JCC. Zab Judah was the only guy who wasn't considered on the down slide that Tszyu beat. Mitchell was a decent boxer in his prime, but he was injury prone and had a glass jaw.
Legendary Kostya Tszyu visited Kazakhstan where he remembered his past in the interview to the ******rt. The former light welterweight champion told that before his bouts he often had to lose up to 20 kilos and regretted that he had never moved to the upper divisions. [details]
Title correction: "I was destined to be fouled, out grappled and cheated out of a competetive match with Hatton"
Okay... Kostya probably the second best Light Welter of all time...behind Chavez?? I think you can make an arguement to put Tszyu at number two. I think top three all time at any weight class puts you in "legend" category...
