And he had the balls to take on fighters that nobody else would. I would go on, but I get the feeling that this guy has very selective vision and sees what he wants to see.

He'll rematch in 2011 hopefully. Next year, fight a pushover, then a lower top 10 WW and maybe fit in another keep busy fight. He fought the best the WW division offered and only lost twice, once to an ATG and to a possible cheater. Damn good resume.

The only person that got owned in here was you. You come in here trying to discredit individuals that get in the ring and take punches risking their health. Cotto gave all he had and the best p4p won the fight, there is no shame or excuse on his behalf. With the Marg fight, Cotto was probably getting hit with plaster, the doubt is there and he will always be consider a cheater, whether he cheated against Cotto or not. Do you know why? b/c he tried to cheat against SSM. I am a Cotto fan, but I have been a fan of the sport before Cotto came in the picture. I will never discredit someone who got in the ring and fought to the best of his ability whether I am a fan of that boxer or not. That is the difference between a real boxing fan and a groupie.

Edit; well said Pinkivory. Cotto was not that much bigger...like a 1/2" taller, a bit bigger boned, but Manny grew into he new weight very well, and handled himself incredibly well.

Like i said, no fighter should feel any shame in losing to a fighter who has intense love of action with such a killer instinct. Fact is, most Cotto fans like Manny too. fact is, most Cotto fans were ok with the loss. Dissapointed? very. Crying about unfairness? NO. The better man won, and most Cotto fans accept it, as hard as it is for us.

Us die hard Cotto fans feel like a part of us died in the ring that night, we were so suprised at the outcome of that fight. It was a perfect role reversal of what we were expecting. And here comes this dissrespectful kid to pour salt in our wounds. Real sportsmanship kid! At least you named yourself right.

I hate the way people criticize cotto, mayweather, and many other fighters. As you see, they try to protect their record and their health.
