Good question, As far a Pac is concerned, I have the feelinf that Pac well be championed as an ATG even if he were dominated by Mayweather. Mayweather, however, seems to be in a situation where if we were to dominate Pac, he'd pretty much remain at the same level in the eyes of most critics. Also, if Floyd were to beat Shane/Berto and there by effectively clearing out the WW, he'd still remain at the level he's at now. He's perceived superiority over his contemporaries has place him in a predicament where he's thwarted by a glass ceiling. Say Floyd were to grab a MW title from Kelly Pavlik, in reality, that feat would be as great or greater than Pac whooping Cotto. However, being that Manny started at 16yrs and at such a young age, he's accomplishments are magnified even more. In reality, Manny Pac, at 32, well probably be a bigger man p4p than Mayweather is currently. Basically, Floyd to good to be appreciated and at the same time, hated to much for the clandestine admiration to be a acknowledged, outwardly. Hell, people in this very thread have opponents mapped out for Floyd that would have him fighting into his mid-thirties. By the time he's faces his next opponent after Pac, he'll be older that Sweet Pea was when he fought Dela hoya. Meanwhile, if he beats Pac and Shane, that's five HOF'er/2ATG in his last 5 opponents. It's all about him losing.

Diaz is a C level opponent at best. Mayweather ended Hatton's career 2 years ago. Cotto who got owned by MArgarito and was getting his ass handed to him by Clottey in his last fight, Morales and Barerra went thru wars, but i do give manny credit for the first Barerra fight.

Floyd doesnt have any truly great fighters in his resume. All he has is old oscar, diego corrales who is at best a very good fighter never will be great, & jose luis castillo who will never get to the hall of fame.
