If Shane beats Berto, he will have the WBA and WBC belts. He should then go after Isaac Hlatshwayo to get the IBF belt.

It would be hard for anyone to duck him after that.

Plus he becomes a very attractive opponent for the winner of Pacquiao-Mayweather, who would hold the WBO strap....all 4 belts could be unified with one fight at that point.

dam why is everyone talking about williams saying he can go down to 147 when he didnt ask to go down to 154 for martinez belt

because he was training for a middle weight fight with Pavlik n Pavlik pulled out the fight 4 weeks b4 the fight was suppose to take place... Changing weight in 4 weeks could really damage him I believe he could still make weight n he could b the one who cleans out the division

What part of Cotto rebuilding his career don't you underfuckinstand? Mosley has never been backed up by a smaller opponent like Cotto was. You have a right to think Cotto beat Mosley. I'm not saying that you don't. I'm just saying that Mosley shouldn't fight him again unless Cotto beats a top shelf opponent convincingly. Which I've never seen him do.

Williams still claims he can easily make 147. He walks around at about 160. He weighed in at like 156 for the Winky fight, if I remember correctly. Shane was outboxed by Winky Wright, who Paul dominated easily. So what? Guys have bad nights. Quintana isn't on Paul's level, and everyone who knows boxing would agree. If Shane is claiming that a win over Margarito makes him the best Welterweight, then Paul has the same claims. Bottom line.

Quintana, who isnt on Pauls level, outboxed the sh-t out of him. Paul is not invincible. Shane was outboxed by Wright but it had alot more to do with Wright being the bigger fighter and he also being skilled and closer to his prime. There is no shame in loseing to Winky at 154 in his perspective prime. But Williams losing to Quintana at 147 is down right embarassing! Williams beat Wink and I wont take that from Williams, but Winky was coming off an almost 2 year layoff, and all he wanted was a fight and a payday because he couldnt get the Taylor rematch or a fight with Pavlik. The point Im trying to make is that Williams is not invincible at Welterweight and he also isnt in position to demand any big fights at 147. Shane beat Margarito more convincingly than Williams at 147. Paul may have had a bad night but great fighters shouldnt have bad nights against guys they are suppose to beat!

im a fan of shane's but all this "people are ducking me" needs to stop. Pac vs Cotto was made because it made financial sense for Top Rank and all parties involved. who is gonna get that type of money fighting mosley? mayweather wanted to fight twice and shane dodged him, what does he want? i got Berto beating him in this fight.

Ima leave bettin on this fight alone...cuz if Shane comes out hungry wih a chip on his shoulder he wins by KO, if not and Berto comes out with that chip then he wins its a toss up, but I'm a PBF fan and i think that SSM is the man in the WW class but he doesn't have the drawin power to get the fights he wants. If he wuda jumped right in the ring after he beat Margs, and say he would have beat Berto then..then he would have the loins share of the belts so someone wud have to fight him. But as it stands he did bad business moves and has to wait his turn

Well I love to see Mosley vs Pacquiao happens if ever Mosley successfully defeats Berto and the negotiation between Pacquiao and Mayweather didn't make any progress also.

It would be hell of a fight for sure.

I agree here, if we all look at it SSM is the real winner and controls his own fate. Pac and May camps have said if they cant agree they want Shane. All shane has to do is win against berto and he get the winner of Pac vs May or he gets to pick Pac or May. This is Shane second chance i hope he work it right this time

the thing is that even with that loss cotto still sells & produce more money than shane... so im pretty sure mosley wouldnt hesitate to give cotto a "break" since @ the end, he knows that cotto is the one whos giving him a real chance to make $omething with his career........

MASSMAN, you must be a little slow or just don't follow boxing that often, first of all I will answer these questions for you.
When did he cheat you asked: He cheated in the second DeLaHoya fight; because he was using steroids and Oscar beat him. He lied because he says that everyone is ducking him, when in fact he ducked Floyd Mayweather in 1999 and 2006; and he ducked Paul Williams a few years back, because Paul Williams begged him for a fight and he said no!
I hope this cleared up some of your opinions on him.

All it did was expose the fact that YOU LIE! Oscar never beat Shane Mosley so stop lying on this forum. Stop getting emotional, its not necessary. You dont understand the sport of boxing. Shane has always been on the square as it pertains to the Balco incident. Lie dectectors dont lie, YOU LIE! Secondly, you can say that Shane ducked Floyd in 1999 and 2006. The reality of it is, they are still boxing today and they can fight right now. You act as if, one of them has retired and we will never ever get to see them fight one another. There is still a possibility that Shane and Floyd can meet in the ring. Hopkins already stated that we may see Shane vs Floyd next if Shane beats Berto. So it doesnt matter who ducked whom in 99 or 06. As for Paul Williams, he is a good fighter but he is in no position to call out anyone at any weight class. Williams needs to continue fighting the best available fighter like SHane is doing and continue to win. In due time he will get his big fights that he wants. SHane says he has 3 or 4 years left in this game before he retires, hopefully we will see a Shane vs Williams fight as well.
