There are other ways to train. If he gets into a lot of street fights on the regular than you might be in for an ass whooping.

    GL with your sparring
Im not sure If Im good enough to counterpunch. I can evade some of my Coach's punches sometimes and he is a former pro boxer.

You think a double jab then straight to the solar plexus will be enough to make him cry?

Im pretty sure he doesnt get in street fights. And street fights wont help him anyways right?

I edited my post. I forgot to mention that I jog for 30 minutes everyday
You should be ok to spar a few rounds then....but if he is not a trained boxer you should still counter. Let him come at you, when he throws the jab just swat it down with your right and as you do this step in with your own jab. Keep doing this and if you have success start throwing a right behind your jab. If he has no basic skill he shouldn't know how to stop this.....this will work if you are both righties of course.

will strictly between you and friend, it is instinctual, seeing as neither of you had training, (2 month is negligible).

as for tips, stay relaxed and in control, don't loose your head and start swinging wild, don't get clustered on the inside, this will sap your stamina.

Most important is to stay relaxed, that way you don't expand too much energy. with two noob fighters, it usually comes down to who is conditioned/in shape.

You want to teach him that training is more important but you haven't trained for 5 months...

What I mean is even the basic mechanics of punching! like twisting your punches and not pushing them. Cause he is doesnt even know how to throw a proper punch yet but he claims he can keep up with me

Keep your hands up, pressure him or let him punch himslef out, punch him a few times in between. Your ******ed friend will be gassed by the end of the first or midway through the 2nd if he's in good shape.

From then on, you will be free to hit him at will if you're decent.
