I think Clottey can give Pac some serious problems

Out of any WW even Floyd or SSM, I think Clottey stylistically could give Manny the most problems......the problem with Cotto was that he is what I can describe as a cautiously offensive minded fighter, but on a world class level his defense just doesn't cut it and his only defense really is just moving away from an opponent.
Clottey who is criticized for not having an offensive willingness to go after opponents, may find this attribute to be an asset against Pac. Clottey's defensive shell would really help in the area of damage control against Pac and JMM showed that Pac is not hard to find and is open to counters. If we go back to Clottey's non offensive tendencies, I notice when Pac explodes with a flurry most fighters tend to trade with him getting smacked with faster hard shots like Cotto did. Clottey would most like cover up maybe not having a clean punch landed on him and then counter Pac of he is quick enough.....also having an outstanding chin aids Clottey against Pac too. All fighters can be beaten no matter how good they are and its a styles thing, I think Clottey has the style to beat him.......thoughts opinions

He should. He would have beat Cotto if he'd hadnt acted like a moron. The way he walked right in looking for the knockdown was just plain ******. He deserved the loss, but I felt like he was the better boxer.

Too inactive and slower on his feet then Cotto and also doesn't have the power to trouble Pacquiao. Pacquiao would beat Clottey easily. He wouldn't hurt him or drop him but he'd win every round. I'd pick Pacquiao by an easy U.D.

It's physically impossible to block all Manny's punches. Clottey would be a human punching bag. Also, by the time Clottey throws a punch, Manny would of thrown 3 already from weird angles.

A few problems, Clottey is not really a counter puncher, Manny moves over after he hits you and attacks you from another angle, what chance does a guy have when he obscures his own vision with holding his glves so high, he wont know where Pac is after finishing up his combos.

Man i love Clottey but his defense is not made for Pac. He sits too much on his defense and Pac would sting him with fast shots all night in the body and up

I think Clottey has a far better chance against Mayweather. matter fact that was one of the fights I would love to see

Yep. I picked Cotto to lose based on his slow footspeed and Clottey is even slower and has longer periods of inactivity where he lets you get off first whilst his hands are up.
