whether Dallas is a mecca of boxing really wont matter for this event. Casual fans will know how historic the fight is and they know its the biggest fight that can be made in boxing for prolly the last decade. The fact that it would be held at Cowboys stadium would alone bring thousands of people.

Boxing has a strong boxing presence in general. People would be coming from all parts of texas to the fight. Especially from mid and south Texas.

They need to put this fight at Sam Boyd stadium. Nice venue that can fit over 40,000. fight would sell out like nothing so quit BSing and get the fight there. I love the Mack but its to small, the way there tickets are gonna be priced, to have some of the hardcore fans there.

Sam Boyd Stadium would be the best place, imo. The place is bigger. So the chance of getting a ticket is better than other mega fights. Plus it's by my house, lol

I can't believe this is happening. We're so close!

This is the fight they should of named "The World Awaits", cause it's literal this time, lol.

You think high rollers create a good atmosphere, when they show up only for the main event? The boxing fan creates the environment and Texas is where real boxing fans are at. Look at Juan Diaz' last 2-3 fights or Escalante-Lock.

Most boxing writers agree that Mayweather-Hatton had the best big fight atmosphere they've ever been to. The Brits put the great atmosphere in both Hatton fights. So it is the boxing fan that creates the atmosphere and huge celebs will show up to it either way.

it doesnt matter where it is if its in Dallas it will still sell out there are tons of mexican boxing fans in San Antonio, Houston, Dallas , El Paso, Corpus Christi, who would travel to see it.
The high dollar seats will always sell because the big money has the money to fly whereever they want at anytime. i think the fight could sell 80 thousands seats honestly, a couple of months after the NBA All Star Game would be a great look for Dallas

Vegas being the boxing "Mecca" that it is, is irrelevant IMO.

Was Manila or South Africa the boxing Mecca?

Fact is, this is a HUGE once in a lifetime kind of event and to host it at Vegas because of convenience would be a disservice to the boxing gods.
