Kessler going on to lose to Ward the way he did puts a question mark on Calzaghe's resume big time. The only way it won't is if Kessler some how redeems himself and beats some other good fighters. Because that's the only Calzaghe win of where you can go back and say that he beat a good fighter at his peak. I would struggle to find 100 fighters in history that Calzaghe should be ranked over. He barely sc****s the Hall of Fame in my opinion.

The problem with this survey and this post is Calzaghe is NOT IN THE HALL OF FAME and probably never will be. Even though a lot of the fans on this site think he is the greatest thing since sliced bread doesn't mean the boxing writers will. Simply going undefeated does not mean he will make it to the Hall of Fame, especially when you consider the caliber of competition. One of his counterparts, Sven Ottke from Germany, retired undefeated as the WBA 168-pound champion a few years earlier, will never make it to the Hall of Fame because of the caliber of competion he fought. Ironically enough, he and Calzaghe avoid fighting each other because neither was willing to leave their home town to fight the other.

This guy is a disgrace to the hall of fame. The only place he should be in the hall of fame is in the urinals.

never seen so many haters in my life... i dont think calzaghe had the best resume, or the best anything, but you have to respect the mans chin and his stamina, and the things he accomplished.. there are always gonna be haters... until i step in a ring and do the things he has done, or just step in a ring at all and fight (cause i never have) then im just gonna shut my Fkng mouth and give credit where credit is due...

                  Agree, it is pathetic.

You can all hate all you want, but whether you like it or not Calzaghe is considered one the greatest super-mids of all time, and that will be the opinion of people who actually know what they're talking about, not **** talkers from a boxing forum. The opinions that count are from people like Sugar Ray Leonard, who is a big Calzaghe fan... but sure what would he know, right??

In 4 years when he is eligible for the IBHOF, you can guarentee the name Joe Calzaghe will be on every single voting slip.

He said it! Get off dude, Calzaghe have done historical things. Calzaghe just got late american exposure. But he had a belt and defended it 21 times, succesfully. He beat 2 rusty american legends, who afterwards have proven that they have what it takes to compete at the highest level.

Hopkins is P4P 3 right now. He proved that age doesn't matter. Let's see how Roy Jones jr. performs against Green. I think he'll be too fast.

The thing is Calzaghe took some risks, he avoided Pavlik, but before that he took some undefeated worldchampions, one european and one american, then America wanted him and he took the biggest names they had to offer.

Plus he unified the supermiddleweight division. Who has unified a division right now? ... ??? ... I guess it ain't that easy as you are trying to make it.

Get off Calzaghe's back and stop the hating.
