Can i ask. And this is a serious question.

since the status quo has decided that mayweather is all of the things said above, what does pac have to gain in beating him? With the way floyd gets discussed on here, i would swear hes on the same level as a chavez jr. Seriously, surely if mayweather is all of the things you guys call him on a daily basis, then what does it say about people like shane and pac who want to fight him?

Im making this thread because at some point, careers have to looked at in retrospect, i think what happens is that people who know very little initially sign up to the board, read alot of messages, claim they "loved him at 130" and then decide to tear him a new one on a daily basis.

I see alot of rewriting of history on here alot, but since were basically locked in a two fighter discussion, i want to know seriously from the pac fans, that since mayweather is so overrated, then a pac win would mean very little?

We all know at this point, pac is an outstanding fighter, with a very good quality resume and hes been on a roll post marquez II. But when mayweathers name comes up, like i said, you would swear he was an overrated journeyman.

The last, id say 3 years havent been very kind to mayweather, and for me, it has alot to do with his style of fighting and his additude of course. I think fighters who have an exciting style and a humble additude usually get a pass on who they fight, but mayweather putting his foot in his mouth, and his safety first mentality creates a certain vibe about him that makes it easy to put out nothing but vitriol on here.

Right now this board reminds me alot of political forums i have argued on for years, you have partisian sides holding their ground on positions with everyone just waiting for their turn to talk instead of listening and learning. I feel at this point ive become a middle of the road moderate, i understand certain fighters are not perfect, but the constant trashing of the guy that is supposed to put pac over the top, i dont get it. You all hated it when mayweather trashed his opponents before a fight, then use what he said in promotion as if it was anything more than promoting a fight.

If you yourself stand by the idea that mayweather is an overrated fraud, then how in the *** could he possibly be participating in arguably the greatest fight this sport might see? in order for that to happen, you need two ATG in their prime, SO surely, you can adhere to that? Becuase if not, you arent any better than mayweather himself.

perhaps there are some poster who disrespect PBFs skills, very few in fact that i fail to notice them while reading threads..

you know what follows..its been done to death, the contradictions, the classless character, judgement(or lack of) on whom to fight..etc. etc. etc.

pac or sugar wanting pbf in a fight have very obvious reasons..
and the reasons are a combination of everything... from money,prestige(yes pbf is a very good name under any fighters belt, regardless of what others may say) to even wanting to put the 1 on the L column, the fans wants it and prolly just to beat the living hell out of him.

all in all, its with a purpose that pac , sugar or any one wants a piece of pbf.
