  • Explain why Pac should Call the shots for this fight or Explain why Floyd should.

    pac
    Delahoya-Pacquiao: 1.25 Mil
    Pacquiao-Cotto: 1.25 MIL
    Pacquiao–Hatton: 850K
    Pacquiao–Marquez 2: 400K
    Pacquiao–Barrera: 350K
    Morales-Pacquiao 3: 360K
    Morales-pacquiao 2: 350k
    Morales-pacquiao: 340K
    Pacquiao–Diaz: 250K
    Pacquiao–Solis: 200K
    5,600,000

    floyd
    Delahoya-Mayweather: 2.4 MIL
    Mayweather-Marquez: 1.05 MIL
    Mayweather-Hatton: 925K
    Mayweather-Judah : 390K
    Gatti-Mayweather: 360K
    Mayweather-Baldomir: 340K
    5,465,000

I dont know the actual live gate numbers so if anyone does feel free to post them. But as far as im concerned the indicatin of who the bigger draw can be analying the PPV from each fight and paying special attention to the common opponents. After doing that I think Floyd deserves to call the shots in this one.

Please take in consideration the key points.
-Between common opponents, Floyd has outsold Pac by nearly 2m buys.
-Floyd averages nearly 1/2 a million more buys per a PPV.
-Im not sure how much PPV revenue Pac avg but PBF has the highest of any fighter with more than 5 fights at just over 59mil per fight.

Im not saying Pac is not a huge star, but to say he more deserving than Floyd of the lions share is absurd in my opinion. He does have a few tools to bargain with, such as his WBO diamond Belt as well as the fact that he is the P4P #1 and im not sure but he may average more cash per a live gate than Floyd. But the bulk of this money comes from the PPVs and there's a clearly large advantage for Floyd in category.

Im guessing you both missed the "Explain" portion of the title.

If you were in either fighters shoes you wouldn't be happy with anything less than what you felt you were worth.
If you feel it should be 50/50 explain why.

It should be 50/50 and nobody gets a hurt feeling and both retain their huge egos.

            Counter key points.
-With the exception of Gatti all of Floyd's ppvs have been at welterweight while Pacquiao only has 2
-It's a well known fact that the general public in the US doesnt really care about fights under welterweight.
-Pacquiao has set every ppv record for fights under welterweight.

So consider the fact that at the lower weights Floyd was fighting on B.A.D. and friday night fights while Pac was setting ppv buy records for fights under welterweight.

-It was a fact the us didn't care about fight under Heavy Weight up until just after Tyson/Holyfield/Lewis era ended.
              - Records like 300k buys? thats nothing to brag about and that was over 5 yrs ago.

I dnt believe the last part is true and Floyd in his worse selling fight to date sold more in that fight than nearly half of Pacs fights. Some of those fights include the record breakers you speak of.

None of these reasons to me are significant enough to warrant Pac any shot calling privileges.

Pac has put in better work, is boxing's top fighter, and holds a belt. Mr boat buyer is a bigger draw. Both bring sumthin, so split it even.

dude, i doubt floyd cares about the WBO belt. he'd prolly tell pac he can kept that **** after beating pacs ass. the WBO belt holds not leverage

he cares only for official belts

**** those 2... if one of them handles this negotiation, this event will not gonna get signed... those 2 have the worlds largest ego in the world

let HBO , shaeffer and arum handles it and we can have at least 20% chance
