The "its us vs them" mentality huh? MMA and boxing are not in competition they are two totally different things and fans have just invented this ****** feud, who cares what they do financially?Comment

Bad example. Cotto V Judah set the all time attendance at Madison Square Garden. It wasn't one of their bigger events. It'd be like laughing at Cotto againt Judah numbers. It was a nice event, good fight, but it wasn't their big events.
I'm not the BIGGEST fan of MMA (I appreciate and enjoyed it from time to time) but let's not get confused here.Comment

The card was **** and if Lesner hadn't pulled out of the fight it would of done twice as good.
Which means what? One UFC event does poorly while 95% of all boxing events do a hundred times worse.
Remember the overwhelming majority of boxing matches are watched in small clubs with only a couple hundred people in attendance.Comment

(UPDATED on 11/24/09 to clarify gate numbers. Although the $2.3 million worth of complimentary tickets was initially believed to be part of the $3 million gate, the NSAC clarified with us that the $3 million gate was paid and did not include complimentary tickets sales. In other words, the UFC sold $3,003,250 worth of tickets and gave away an additional $2,331,250 worth of tickets.)Comment

The Main event as Tito Ortiz and Griffin.( Ortiz is shot and comming off a long lay off) Griffin was KO like a bum in his last fight
I think if you put GSP or Brock Lesner at that card , it would do a millionComment
