    Just watched Kessler vs. Ward

That's the worst I've ever seen Kessler

His counterpunching went out the window, even when Ward was lunging in, so was completely helpless getting backed up
Had nothing to offer on the inside, and did little from the outside

Ward did make it difficult, Kessler had no answer to his movement, hand and foot speed
Wards jab was far more effective, which was surprising

Ward did great, but I do think it was an off-night for Kessler, maybe underestimating Ward... he's a better fighter than that

Froch is a good next fight to have, especially in Denmark... Froch is completely open to hit, will keep coming forward all night
I was almost certain Kessler could get the win, but if he doesn't sort himself out he's gonna struggle throughout the tournament

Kessler looked poor because it's an awful style for him to face and Ward is much more versatile than him. Kessler is too reliant on the one-two and cannot adapt.

The only time Kessler has faced a determined, awkward fighter who showed him angles and speed were against Ward and Calzaghe.

Just about everyone else (Beyer, Andrade, etc.) came at him or just stood in front of him.

Along with Ward's style (I doubt Kessler ever beats him), there's no doubt Kessler wasn't the same fighter. He's just not. Maybe he shakes it off by being more active and retinkering in the gym. I wouldn't be so quick to write his eulogy but he could've done much better than what he showed on Saturday night.

I couldn't believe how slow he was reacting to anything thrown, he looked like an old man in there
        Who's his third matchup?
Dirrell is going to give him hell if they meet

          Stop making excuses.

Kessler never did **** to get all the praise he does.

Seems like being white is all it takes to get credit.

Dirrell, like Kessler, is overrated. I remember a thread on this site asking who would win between Dirrell and Ward and most picked Dirrell. And people still believe in him! Amazing. He's got Roy Jones-like skills but his heart will fail him (and the fans) every time.

I don't know who Kessler will meet in the third match but if it's Abraham then he can kiss his shot at the tourney goodbye. It'll be Ward or Abraham for the win.

              Jermain Taylor.

He wouldn't meet Dirrell or Abraham until the semi finals or the final. IMO, he'll make the semi finals.

Taylor is one of the many fighters that should retire before he's killed in the ring.

                  JT
                  Hatton
                  RJJ

Should retire before it's too late.

good to hear someone from overseas saying something other than "Ward is the dirtiest fighter ever, the headbutts and elbows blew the fight, kessler would have won" blah blah blah
