Should be Vitali if he knocks out Johnson, which he will. A 38 year old thats gunna have 3 knocks this year over two undefeated fighters and one with just one loss. Holmes and Ali were both 38 when they tried to rest the HW crown and failed had they succeded & knocked out 3 fightersthenext year, ala Vitali, they would no doubt be fighters of the year, But because it's Vitali and he is not American he gets no credit.

he should be, his stoppage victories over two p4p opponents in one year are credible. i just wish, like every other fighter, that he fought more than two times in a year.

Vitali has been good dude, no doubt, but I guess he's unlucky that the heavyweight division isn't great these days so the guys he's beating aren't considered amazing fighters. Gomez and Kevin Johnson I hadn't even really seen before Vitali fought/signed to fight them. Arreolla was a great win, but I guess until some real challenges come Vitali's way, he won't win it. Pacquiao beat Hatton (the lineal champ) in devastating fashion in a division he's never fought in, then went up in weight, claimed a 7th title in 7 weight classes and TKO'd a guy who many think is the best welterweight in the world. It's very hard to top that.

              Fighter of the Year Award

Where's Mayweather? Who has he been fighting lately? Fighting or running around in the ring? Smart or boring? Anyway, there's NO MONEY in it, reason he's not interested & besides there's MANNY in that award most likely .... Nobody is talking except for some fans he is the P4P King, everybody else says it's Manny .... I'm not saying Manny is going to win if they meet in the ring .... obviously, if it's running in the ring, it's handsdown it will be Floyd Jr .... fighting and/or boxing remains to be seen .... As Manny would most likely to say again, may the best man wins ....
