I would like it to be in New Orleans also...especially if they get some tax credits...NO has been through a lot of stuff...it would be a nice way to give back to New Orleans...IMO.

The casinos can afford to pay an exorbitant site fee because they will get residual traffic and revenue all weekend. Why would people be in Dallas all week, and what would they spend money on? By contrast, visitors to Vegas will sit at tables and pull slot machine levers.

The non-gaming locations have a verrrrrry tough time competing with the gaming cities. The gate is not what dives revenues.

      Thanks.
You may be right. But just because people may have "more" to do in Vegas doesn't mean it's a better location. Look at the Super Bowl. It is held in a different city every year. One Super Bowl was held in Detroit of all places, just a few years ago. What are people going to do in Detroit in early February?

People will be traveling to wherever the venue is because they want to see the fight, not because they want to gamble, etc.

Besides, these owners want the fight in their stadium. They are willing to do what it takes to have it in their house. Ultimately, the promoters will choose the proper location.

That being said, it doesn't matter too much to me where the fight is since I will be watching it on TV.

Pacquiao is guaranteed to sign the contract. We're just worried PBF might not.

Tell that to ricky Hatton, remember ricky was promising to walk because of team Pacquiao actions towards the contract and holding out for more money..

BE SERIOUS. Pacquiao team and Mayweather team are equally greedy.

I completely agree this fight would be amazing at Cowboys stadium, and would be good for the fans because no matter where you sat, you would have an amazing view on that huge screen.

                  Make the fight

This fight isn't just going to be a cash cow. It's going to be a f'in cash train. N.O. could definitely use it, but then again what place couldn't use an event like this? I hope it goes to Staples Center, 30min from my house and I'd buy some nosebleeds if I had to. Building a new facility in Las Vegas sounds like a good idea. That place has been hit pretty hard and building a new facility means a lot of jobs right in time for Xmas. This is the first time in my memory (I'm only 23) where a boxing match has gotten this much attention when the contract hasn't even been signed yet. Giving to a place that really needs the money would be great PR for the fight. Pacquiao is all about the people, and Mayweather (while a douche in his promoting persona) has done tons of charity work on his own. He'd probably lean towards Las Vegas since he lives there and does a lot of his charity work there too. This is something that both fighters could get behind. First the fight has to be made!

Do an outside arena in Las Vegas like the old days... If the fight is in May then that would be perfect cause by then the weather isnt to hot or too cold...
