its funny how this huge draw did 1.25 with DLH....& 1.25 with Cotto..

has he not gained any new fans since the De La Hoya & Hatton fights??

250,000 x $54.00 = $13,500,000 - Money most of todays boxers wouldnt see in 1 fight or at least in their lifetime. Pacquiao sells PPVs. Floyds OPPONENTS sells PPVs.

and my question is that if he did 1.25 with Oscar....why was he only able to do 1.25 with Cotto?

yea.....marquez was a HUGE ppv draw before he fought floyd.....

what's also funny is how ppl won't mention manny needs fighters with followings to sell fights also. oscar, hatton, cotto......

His fight with Baldi? no thanks. I'm a Gatti fan too. But even then, I didn't get the PPV. It was a foregone conclusion that Floyd would ice him.
in the end, it doesn't really matter WHY you bought the ppv.....i'm willing to bet that MOST people DO buy floyd's ppv's hoping he loses....
the reason you buy is irrelevant, they just want you to buy.

Mayweather's PPv was against a guy who isnt a PPV fighter...and mayweather was coming off a 2 year lay off...and still did a million....

also the Numero Uno card was almost 20 bucks less than Firepower so those #'s are inflated

for a fighter who is actively fighting, is p4p# 1, is going for his record 7th title in a 7th division to be fighting the #1 WW who happens to be the champ at the time who has a big puerto rican following to do barely more than a retired boring fighter than doesnt have an exciting style...that says alot about Mayweather drawing Power

Marquez's last fight on PPV before Mayweather was Casamayor...it did 100K...the worst PPV of 2008 for HBO

let's use some common sense tyde
c'mon now, fighting oscar doesn't make u a ppv star automatically.....

bernard fought oscar and he still can't sell ppv's.....

talk about common sense, NOBODY can convince me marquez-pacman III would've done 1 million buys, had that fight happened in september instead.

they discounted it, had an extra 2months to promote and it STILL didnt draw as much as PAC-Cotto?

                    you're making this too easy
