Historically which is better: Middleweight or Super Middle?

So when they both decided to STAY in each respective weight class, who was assuming that they'd have more historical greatness. Who DECIDED to enter a class division that may have turned average when he was there and who DECIDED to enter and stay in a division that never was?

I'll await your answer with a smile on my face.

Joe Calzaghe was a slightly above average fighter and thats it people, yet his nuthhugging **** fans think he is an all time great. LMFAO. Calzaghes best win is against Mikkell Kessler FFS, who a green 25 year old Ward whooped alot worse.

All time greats don't have a guy like Kessler as their best and most career defining win.
He is a hofer, but not a atg, I agree that much. As for the question about finding another more overrated fighter, im going to have to get back to you on that.

          Silver,

Another thing - Hopkins' resume is better than Calzaghe's by a lot. A lot. This is another ridiculous debate on here. After realizing how pathetic they sounded trying to claim Calzaghe was on par with Roy Jones, Joe fans switched to Hopkins as their barometer and tried to argue for equality there. No way.

When has Calzaghe ever leaped two divisions to absolutely dismantle an undisputed champ coming off consecutive wins against pound for pounders?

When has Calzaghe ever beaten the odds by obliterating a fighter considered the best in the world and a heavy favorite?

          We could go on.

Calzaghe should of made the following fights: Johnson, Jones jr, Tarver and maybe Pavlik or Dawson.
Hopkins: Toney, Roy jones and Dawson

What the hell are you on about. They both went into those divisions because that's what they could both boil down to due to their physiques and stayed there because they made good money beating (relative) bum after (relative) bum.

Both smw and mw divisions were barren wastelands, during their respective reigns.
