At least Hopkins didn't fight in a 20 year old division that had no history and was littered with bums and has beens and never weres.

      I agree 100%.

Calzaghe was simply a fraud who beat bums and shot fighters his whole career. I love it how pathetic slappy nuthuggers think he is an atg simply because he is undeafeted. Being undeafeted means **** all when you have a **** resume like slappy does. I guess according to slappy nuthuggers, Sven Ottke and Zsolt Erdei are atg's to. lmfao.

No, It's because he is the most overrated fighter of all time.

Not even a Calzaghe fan by the way, all I say is his resume is not much different to Hopkins. You guys tear apart Calzaghes resume while elevating Hopkins resume, talk about double standards. Can I now assume you are going to make a thread about Hatton?
Silver, you're a good guy but the problem isn't with people discarding Calzaghe's resume, the problem is Calzaghe fans trying to make more of his legacy than what it is. Calzaghe is a HOFer. What's wrong with that? Instead they want to make him an ATG. They want to say he would've beaten these ATGs in their prime. They pretend he was invincible. Just garbage. Look at this post from Samurai a couple months ago:
I don't believe anyone at SMW or LH could knock Calzaghe out. It'd take a heavyweight or maybe a cruiser to keep him on the canvas.

I always said the same thing -- if you can't knock Joe out, you ain't winning. Period. He will adapt and find a way to beat you every time.
Now Calzaghe can only be defeated via KO and only a 200lb+ could do the job. See the crap people have to read?

              Quoted for ****ing truth.

He is not the most overrated fighter of all time. He's a good fighter. But most of his fans are insane to bat **** insane levels about him.

Name one fighter that is more overrated than slappy?

Joe Calzaghe was a slightly above average fighter and thats it people, yet his nuthhugging **** fans think he is an all time great. LMFAO. Calzaghes best win is against Mikkell Kessler FFS, who a green 25 year old Ward whooped alot worse.

All time greats don't have a guy like Kessler as their best and most career defining win.

You are aware of the heavy bags that populated the 160 class during Hopkins' 'reign' aren't you?

I thought the only way you could beat him was with kryptonite?
But on a more serious note, if he really did want the big fights then he should of been willing to fight in America a whole lot sooner. He also should of made A Glen Johnson fight happen and either a Dawson or Pavlik fight happen.
                    Samurai really thinks that,wow.

I bookmarked that quote from him because it just goes to show how hard it is to see clearly when two huge balls are in the way.

Anyway, Calzaghe's had a fine career. But all that ATG talk can go in the garbage where it belongs.
