Morales had the perfect style to beat Manny and it showed.

Dear me, what a warrior. It's hard to pick anyone in history over prime Morales - he's that intense.

I don't know how anyone can argue that a guy who held a win over Barrera and a draw with Marquez was "green". That win looks huge on Morales resume especially considering he switchd to southpaw in the last round and was able to go toe to toe with Manny look at what happened to Hatton and Cotto when they tried to stand and trade with Pac

Well, that squares it. Morales on a slide and Pac still green. Prime Morales would never beat a prime Pacquiao IMO. Pac's prime is now.

Not particularly good because that was earlier in Pacquiao's career. Considering the amazing success he has enjoyed over the last year it is, imo, arguable that he has undergone a rebirth. This is similar to a second era. He was not as 'complete' a fighter then, I think.

No one asks if the guy who knocked him out early in his career will be considered good. To a lesser degree I believe the same will be true of Morales.

You guys are frustrating. Sure, technically, Pac is a better fighter now. However, he was not 'green' when he fought Morales. I would argue that PAC was FRESHER back then and that 130 was his best weight class, so any improvements are not as big as people make out. Give him his props. The Morales who fought MAB for the first time beat the pac of today at 130 imo

Rofl Morales was on the slide in the first fight and still won well (he gave up the last round) and was shot too **** in his last 2 fights vs Pac. Anyone who disagrees is dumb, too many wars also i mean he was coming of a loss prior to the 2nd fight to an average fighter

Morales molded Pacquiao into the fighter today, but if Morales fought the Pacquiao of today. He would make Morales look just as bad as Hatton and Cotto. And Cotto did the best out of the last 4 opponents of Pacquiao. Pacquiao is much better then he was when he fought Morales. **** it, he is even much better then he was when he fought Marquez in my opinion.

In 2nd thoughts maybe Pac resume is better, SLIGHTLY, but prime for prime Morales decisions Pac, i have no doubt, 2 handed PAc or not
The Pac that fought Morales 1 just moved up to 130, one dimensional with no right hand, he suffered a big cut pouring blood directly on his eyes impairing his vision, forced by contract to wear pillow gloves, sold out by Murad during this fight. The Pac of today will annihilates Morales prime or not easier than the 2nd and 3rd as he added more weapons in his arsenal/refined skills/techniques and also will just walk on his punches specially if they fight now at 140 or 147. I also agree that only Morales really beat Pac convincingly by the record and because of that he's way more better than Barrera, JMM and all Pac's opponents up to this point in terms of legacy.

Dang, I really love talking about Erik he's one of my faourite boxers! His win over Pacquiao was amazing but I honestly think that Pac wasn't really in his prime during those days. Maybe his hunger is prime, but his skills and wits in the ring during his featherweight days isn't as good as now. Erik won that in a close match though so it's not really a big of a win like a KO victory.
