How good does Morales victory over Pac look now?

If Pac is being talked about as an ATG, one of the top 20 boxers in the world ever, where does that put Erik Morales? Surely he's close to Pac in terms of resume, and the fact he beat him when he was on the slide and Pac was in his prime.

Its good still, but its not great. Manny Pacquiao clearly got better over time, and the judges had the fight extremely close with Morales pulling out the win.

~ referee: Joe Cortez | judge: Paul Smith 113-115 | judge: Dave Moretti 113-115 | judge: Chuck Giampa 113-115 ~

115-113 on all cards. Wasn't that big a victory, and since Pacquiao avenged his loss twice, it kinda makes a tight decision irrelevant.

Morales was one of the best, though. Much respect to the man.

Screw the Morales was shot ******ity.

Even morons wont believe that argument.

Well.... some morons.... gayweather stans at least.

Morales showed the world the blueprint to beat Pac.

          1. Push him back
          2. Combinations

Morales, for me, is the best featherweight of all time, better than Barrera

              Me too.

Resume-wise they're on par. Maybe Morales slightly ahead.

And while Barrera edges him on their trilogy. Only Morales was able to beat Pac out of all the Mexican greats. And he beat him in a close but CONVINCING FASHION.

Actually that fight is just as responsible if not more so than the JMM fights for Pac developing into the fighter he is now. It doesn't look unbelievable because it is not the Pac of now that he beat, but Erik Morales is arguably the man responsible for the Pac we see today.

I think Roach said something about how PAC-EM 1 showed him and gave himself a mission or target to make PAC a two handed fighter ...

so I def agree with you!
