Williams didn't take him down.. Wlad was spaced out to continue on fighting.

    After 4 rounds?

    PLEASE.

I'm so sick of hearing that.

Do you know why Wlad was in such bad shape at the end of the 5th round?

Because he blew his wad in the 1st 4 rounds, and THEN this happned:

Brewster landed two MONSTER left hooks in the 5th, that were the begining of the end.

I'm tired of reading that Wlad was "so tired" from the 1st four rounds he couldn't stand up. That would be worse than getting KO'd.

If you could provide some links about King killing those fights, I'd love to see them.

I didn't hear or read anything of the sort.

Wow, what did you guys been smoking. Somebody's blaming that wlad is fighting Castillo? Damn Castillo is his second substitute. The guy wanted to fight Byrd. Byrd find a way to run. He wanted to fight Lyakhovich, the guy ran. Now he is fighting an undefeated, young and hungry fighter (who btw stopped 14 out of 18 opponents) and somebody thinks this is not a test. Stop hating its bad for your heart and liver.

You say Rahman's been fighting bums, yet Klitschko's last two fights were agaisnt Williams and Sanders. Rahman knocked out Sanders quicker when he was younger and in better shape.

You also echoed what I said in Rahman having not beat a highly ranked fighter in years.

I hate to break this to you, but Kirk Johnson and Larry Donald are Vitali's most noteworthy wins.

          Rahman knocked out Lennox Lewis.

My point was that Rahman isn't in title contention now after having lost to Ruiz, and that Vitali would be better served fighting one of the other champions.

          Wow man, you're sure something...

          VK last 5 opponents:
          williams, sanders, johnson, lewis, donald
          combine record of 184-10-4

          rahman's last 5:
kali meehan, terrance lewis, rob calloway, mario cawley, al cole
          163-43-6

there's no way rahman's 5 guys stack up to VK's... VK didnt have to sc**** himself up off the canvas to beat sanders
          either...

point is, i agree that rahman has not been setting the world on fire

i disagree about VK, he's has been fighting decent comp.

LOL, on to that again are we?

            "Forced" into a unification fight?

Once again, Byrd challenged Klitschko in December live on TV to a unification fight BEFORE Klitschko signed to fight Rahman.

Dan Goosen had been trying to open talks for Vitali to face Toney since boefre the Williams fight was signed.

            You're a real comedian.

Outside of Lewis (who Rahman actually beat) Sanders, Williams, Johnson (in the shape he was in) and Donald were NOT good competiton. They were Sub Par.

Sub par is better than "bad" which Rahman's last 5 opponents were, but overall, Rahman holds a victory over Lewis, where Vitali's wins against (a fat) Johnson and Donald are the biggest wins of his entire career.

That should give you some perspective.

Neither of them have set anything on fire (outside of Rahman's 15 mins of fame).

Stop tyring to sugar coat it. The guy is NOT a highly ranked fighter, or even a contender.

i disagree, castillo already beat moorer and would beat 3/4 the guys above him on that ONE ranking you pulled up... that ranking system is soooo ****** they have moorer ahead of the guy that beat him!!! its just based on fighters records and nothing else.. here the quote:

"The ratings program uses the records of the boxers to calculate their rating. There are no other factors involved"

NO other factors, like qaulity of oppositionm time off, split decisions, cuts, etc...

I'm not using those rankings of Gosple, but it gives some perspective.

He's not a top 30 fighter, and not a "good" opponent.

He's an inexperienced fighter that's in there to give Wlad some confidence back.

All you're doing is trying to sugar coat it.

He's not a contender, not viewed as a threat, and not a top 20 fighter.
