    Was Miguel Cotto At His Best When He Faced Manny Pacquiao?

    Was Cotto at his best and in his prime when he faced Pacquiao, or was he already a damaged fighter before he got into the ring from a previous fight and/or the 145 weight limit?

      No, but then again, neither was Manny. Knee injuries, camp distractions and so forth.

          No he was not at his best. Still an elite fighter but not at his best.

          He peaked during the first 6 rounds of the PlasterCheato fight IMO.

          His power, combinations and savy were amazing to behold then.

              Unless you have a "BEST" gauge counter, you will have to accept no one has ever beaten Cotto that well, and no one would have, apart from Pac.

              Whether Cotto was at his peak or a bit damaged, dont matter. No one would have beat Cotto easy.

                  Man, he was able to pull those combos off on Margarita because Margarita stood in front of him. Same thing when PAC allowed him to tee of on him against the ropes. Once PAC started giving him angles, he wasn't the same.

                  If you think about it, Cotto had a hard time getting anything going against Judah before the low-blows. The moment Zab started slowing down and became stationary, that's when Miguel started to work.

                          He was on his way to becoming the best fighter in the world and getting a mega fight with De La Hoya. Is a shame a cheater took that away from him. Cotto would have been great but he still has time just get a great trainer and he can write another chapter to his story.

                                      How do u guys know this??? cotto looked very sharp and fast in the early rounds but pac was just too much for him..
