I dont understand what that pic is supposed to prove.
That pic of Corrales's bloodstain wrap is AFTER he just fought.
the pic they have of margarito's wrap is BEFORE he fought mosley, and was caught before he could use them.
The question is, why would margarito have blood on his wrap BEFORE the fight? did he cut himself warming up? was he eating fries with ketchup? did he not wash his hands since the cotto fight?
Also, if you look at both wraps, Corrales wraps look white and soft, like gauze looks like. If you look at Marg's wraps, they are hard, dirty and old looking you can tell they were used before. The person that put the pic was trying to defend Marg, but I think that he put more doubt on everyone's mind. I guess he owned himself.
OK, I see the image now..
what does Corrales having a blood stain on his hand have to do with anything
the reason they posted that image of Margarito is because the wrap with plaster on it had the same blood stain in the same spot.
It wasn't because there was blood on the wraps.. it was because there was blood on the wraps in the very same spot as the wraps in question.
Also, there is another picture where Margarito's hand wraps are cracking and he's putting his fist to the Camera... under NO circumstances should a wrap crack.. it indicates it's been tampered with.
THREAD FAIL.
Your just making **** up so that you will feel like your right.
''Hand wraps made of gauze and tape are frequently worn under boxing gloves for competition. This wrap primarily supports the wrist and knuckles, but each athlete has his or her preference.''
A hand wrap is a strip of cloth used by boxers (and participants in other combat sports) to protect the hand and wrist against injuries induced by punching. It is wrapped securely around the wrist, the palm, and the base of the thumb, where it serves to both maintain the alignment of the joints, and to compress and lend strength to the soft tissues of the hand during the impact of a punch.
A hand wrap protects against several common types of injuries that are familiar to most boxers. For instance, it supports the wrist joint, keeping it aligned when the impact of a punch is absorbed by the wrong part of the hand. It also secures the base of the thumb to the hand, thereby reducing the chance of a sprain or fracture that can result from the thumb striking an opponent's elbow. Most importantly, it significantly strengthens the metacarpus, reducing the likelihood of a fracture of one of the metacarpal bones. Such a fracture is often called the "boxer's fracture" -- which is usually a fracture in the neck of the fifth metacarpal -- because of its ubiquity among fighters.
Hand and wrist wraps are used to compress (and keep compressed when hitting) the bones and tissues in the hand. The claim is that such compression allows boxers to hit with greater force than if they did not use them. Boxers claim they feel less pain when hitting so their opponent may feel more pain.
Each sportsman, cornerman or cutman has a preferred wrapping method based on the situation and experience. Variations can produce more wrist support, thumb support, padding for the knuckles or less fabric within the fist. Sometimes a single wrap between fingers over the finger-web help stabilize the wrap and keep it from "riding up" within a looser-fitting glove. Competition rules may restrict the type and amount of material used, giving each fighter a limited amount of gauze and tape which may be divided and rolled in various ways for a particular fighter or match.
Training wraps are usually re-usable cloth and may be secured with a small tie-tab or with velcro. Conventional handwraps are non-elastic. Mexican-style handwraps are slightly elasticized and are popular with many boxers. The length of wraps will vary depending on rules, personal preference, hand size and the type of glove to be worn, with shorter wraps common for fingerless "grappling gloves" used in mixed martial arts.
A new alternative to handwraps are foam or gel-lined fingerless gloves worn inside any boxing glove; these can be used to reduce and prevent harm to the hands and head for bag work, sparring or competition depending on the rules of the governing organisation. They take much less time and hassle than gauze, although they are generally seen as not being as effective.
SOOOOO WHAT ! He still got caught cheating....dumb post !
Nah, I've seen many fighters and they usually never have blood on their handwraps. Margarito had it in both of his handwraps and also had that big hole in the middle.
Plus I've seen his other fights with Paul Williams, Clottey and Golden Johnson and of course Shane Mosley. And he took his handwraps off for all of them. That's almost all of his last fights except for Cotto and maybe Cintron, I couldn't tell in the Cintron fight.
Also he showed no signs of having his hands hurt when he took them off contrary to Cotto he kept them on. Add the fact that Cotto hurt Clottey more than he did despite Clottey having a broken hand it it just tells you he didn't load up for clottey. think about it, Clottey doesn't move as quick as Cotto and yet Cotto hurt him more while Margarito couldn't hurt a handicap Clottey. Thats because Margarito only loaded for Cotto and maybe Cintron. I can tell you that there are some Mexicans that hate Puerto Ricans more than any other race. They both have this rivalry that comes from a long time ago. I'm not really sure why.
I also find it strange that Diego Corales had blood while not taking his handwraps off either.
