        but....

pacquiao seems to hold back when he was fighting cotto in the later rounds. he had no reason to put a worse ass-beating.

even in the dela hoya fight, roach said something like "I know you like this guy, but you gotta do your job"

say mayweather gets hurt, pacquiao just ain't gonna try to win. he'll try to hurt him bad. a pissed pacquiao beating your ass can't be good.
floyd will duck the fight... he'll fight matt hatton in the UK

I agree with this. I dunno why people make him out to be some sort of psychological genius. I think the Mayweathers are just being themselves. I really don't think it's all part of some intricately calculated plan.

It's also really insulting to boxers to say they'd be swayed by trash talk and that these so called "mind games" would make a difference in a fight.

Some of the examples given were Gatti - Mayweather and Hatton - Mayweather...do people really expect me to believe those fights would have been any different without the "mind games" ?

At the end of the day I think the whole "mind game" business is just another thing fans like to make more important than it really is just like the whole stare-down analysis.

The Mayweathers and Floyd's team are playing mind games on themselves. It's all for confidence building and EGO boosting of Floyd because he needs it. Even during fights, just listening to the manner Roger and Ellerbe are trying to give Floyd assurance in their corner, you can tell how Floyd badly needs that kind of mental reinforcement.

              It's like a child's security blanket.

The more he talks about Pacquiao, the more Pacquiao will hold less of his gratitude to a fighter. Look at Hatton, since hatton kept on clinching Pacquiao got mad and knocked him out.

it doesn't matter if pac loses his cool or maintains it---it won't help him at all---this i know for damn sure---what happens if floyd comes in like the floyd of 2005 who fought gatti-----same offensive arsenal and all---pac is getting beat the **** out of regardless---but if floyd comes in like he did the night of june 25th, 2005, pac is getting so badly hurt----****--the more i think of it---that may happen---pac---look the **** out kid....
