Mayweathers pissing off Pacquiao: Is it a Good Idea?

some think it will affect manny's composure. floyd getting to his head, this and that

    but....

pacquiao seems to hold back when he was fighting cotto in the later rounds. he had no reason to put a worse ass-beating.

even in the dela hoya fight, roach said something like "I know you like this guy, but you gotta do your job"

say mayweather gets hurt, pacquiao just ain't gonna try to win. he'll try to hurt him bad. a pissed pacquiao beating your ass can't be good.

That's what I was thinking. I think Pac really liked Diaz, De La Hoya, Hatton and Cotto and he handed them savage, savage beatings.

If Pac is angry at Mayweather he'll just beat him mercilessly.

Just like the other great athletes from other sports. There's an un-written rule amongst all athletes, you never talk smack to the great ones!!

        Exhibit A: Michael Jordan

        Exhibit B: Tiger Woods

        Exhibit C: Lance Armstrong

Maybe. It could force Pac to loose his composure and get too reckless, reducing his accuracy and leaving himself open etc, etc.

By the way, Pac didn't really go easy on Cotto in the later rounds, Cotto just refused to engage and Pac couldn't pin him down to do any further damage.

That's how Floyd operates, he tries to get inside his opponents head and take them out of their game.

He plays mind games just as well as anyone in sports. Pacquiao can't let all the talk get to him.

Not neccesarily true. I think Pac's calm demeanor has been what has made him so successful. He is cool under pressure and always thinks clearly. IF mayweather is getting to him, which is a BIG if, i dont see it helping pac at all. Because Mayweather will keep his cool while Pac loses his and Mayweather being the great counter puncher he is will be able to use Pac's emotion to his advantage. I think alot of the success JMM had against Pac was because Pac got some what emotional in their fights(not mad just emotional) and we know JMM was able to use it to counter and land well.

But i seriously doubt Pacquiao cares what Floyd thinks.

Floyds ****ed. their fueling pacs rage, hulk is slowly coming out. I cant see pac goin in for the KO right away. He will have controlled aggression and slowly pick apart floyd then KO him the F out. More satisfaction for pac that way.

it's a good idea for the fans but not mayweather. mayweather pissed off hatton and dlh, and both gave him a tough fight. pbf chose not to piss off jmm, and that fight was pretty stale and one sided.

I think he should piss off manny for manny's sake and for the fans. it will make for a much more entertaining fight.
