Cottos wife leaving the arena after round 9

That seriously pissed me off. How can the only person youre relying to for moral support leave you when you need them there the most? How do you guys (or girls if any) feel about this?

There are plenty of girls in this forum, most of them are Floyd fans.

I don't blame her for leaving. It should've been Cotto's corner's cue to stop the fight.

I see nothing wrong with it.

She didn't want to see her husband destroyed, and she had a child to consider.

I don't know why HBO dwelled so much on her leaving. Classless broadcasting if you ask me.

If she wanted to be there then it's fine..i just have a hard time figuring out why she would bring her young kids to the fight.. I mean the kids look at thier dad like a hero, and for him to get chopped up that way, i guess it was good for her to dip..granted she coul've done it a lot sooner but hey..

I don't like to see fighters bring their kids to boxing matches, so I think she was right to leave with the kid.

Seeing your own father somewhat emasculated can have some psychological damage on a kid I believe.

How does Miguel need her support when there's a bunch of other guys who are helping him better? Now in a street fight when you're with your wife......that's a different story.

Yep same thinking here.. kids look up to thier parents and belive they are invincible.. but then to watch as thier invincible dad get tore up the way he did was terrible.. plus it didn't help that the corner look lost and confused and had to resort to "we are with you!" but only Cotto taking the punches
