I Guarantee Floyd Will Duck Pacquiao

Floyd Mayweather is so totally and completely intimidated by Manny Pacquiao that he is now renegging on his earlier stance to duck Shane Mosley which we all saw happen in the moments after the Marquez fight. Mayweather’s team stated that if the Pacquiao fight falls through – they know it will because they want it to because deep down know they can’t win it (”I’m in a no-win situation,” admitted Floyd) – they will now look to fight Shane Mosley next – if he defeats Andre Berto in January.

What that means is that obviously they fear being knocked out by Manny Pacquiao to such an extent that now they will go back to the 38-year-old Mosley with tail between legs because it’s the only viable option the frustrated public will accept. Though it’s probably safe to assume Mayweather will be on his hands and knees praying Mosley a.) does not win and b.) looks nowhere near as devastatingly impressive as he did one year ago against Antonio Margarito.

It will be interesting to see if Ross Greenburg and HBO will accept this hugely disappointing option – which would be contradictory to Greenburg’s firm statements expressing his desire to make the Mayweather- Pacquiao fight a reality. It will be interesting to see if HBO lets Floyd duck Pacquiao and will they continue to permit this fraud to pollute it’s network airwaves with his continuous ducking, dodging and handpicking act. Pacquiao vs. Mayweather is the fight everyone wants now, which could singlehandedly re-launch the sport of boxing back into the mainstream, where it belongs. It should not be underestimated how one fight can explode an entire golden era for the sport, such as Ali-Frazier I, Duran-Leonard, etc.

We have that fight now and it’s ready to be made – Pacquiao vs. Mayweather – but the powers that be who rule the sport now have to be strong and make it happen. Or are they inept?

I have a fear that Mayweather and his man Al Haymon, who has a curiously strong influence over HBO, will cost the sport the most important fight of this century and Mayweather will fulfill his desire to preserve his undefeated record by shamelessly ducking Manny Pacquiao under the masquerade disguise that they tried to make a deal but couldn’t reach accord. Using the 60-40 angle as their escape hatch.

It’s a shame on Mayweather, Haymon and everyone involved, who sit back and let this nonsense happen. How could one single manufactured pseudo star who is an actual bully coward underneath the cloak of arrogance, be allowed to get away with costing the sport so much?

But this really is not a surprise. It was well known by insiders that Mayweather will never ever fight anyone with half a chance to knock him out, He ducked Margarito, Cotto and Mosley, why would Floyd suddenly be expected to start now to fight the most dangerous and formidable risk of all – Manny Pacquiao?

And I have some news for you. If Mosley wins against Berto and looks impressive, just watch how Floyd will try to worm and weasel his way out of that fight with whatever excuses and reasons his team comes up with. And you can count on Al Haymon and Richard Schaefer to once again be able to sweet talk HBO and Ross Greenburg out of making that fight.

But the bottom line is Pacquiao vs. Mayweather is not going to happen next. I guarantee you that.
I think him saying Floyd is intimidated by Pac is not true at all. But, i agree with him that the fight is not going to happen next.

Last Scoop article For now. This one is a little different and I probably shouldnt post it but Ill post it anyways.

Spoof Interview with Floyd Advisor Leonard Ellerbe

Leonard Ellerbe, the advisor for Floyd Mayweather, doesn’t tell it like it is because he can’t. It would be bad for business. He has to mislead and deceive in order to preserve Floyd Mayweather’s career which is already in decline. But what if Ellerbe did decide to be candid and real for a change? Here’s how that interview might go…

*************: So Floyd really, truly wants the fight with Pacquiao?

Ellerbe: Hell no. There’s no chance that it happens. Not even if Arum takes 40-60. We know Pac is unbeatable now. Heck, we ducked Cotto last year. We didn’t even want to fight Cotto. To see what Pac did to Cotto – put it this way, the fight ain’t happening anytime soon.

*************: Then why are you out there saying over and over, “Floyd wants the fight, Floyd has made it perfectly clear to us he wants the fight with Pacquiao?”

Ellerbe: Because we have to pretend we want to make the fight, just to make it look good. If we come out now and say we won’t fight Pac, we’ll be condemned by the fans, media and powers that be. But if we at least make it look good, pretend like we’re trying to make a deal, fake our way through the negotiation process, THEN back out at the end, we come out looking good. We can say, Hey we tried but couldn’t reach an acceptable deal because Bob Arum hates Floyd too much.

*************: It’s obvious you’re using the tactic of keeping Floyd hidden now, keeping him under wraps. Why so?

Ellerbe: Yes. We can’t take the chance of putting Floyd out there now to discuss Pac. Floyd as you know is a horrible speaker under pressure, he is pathetic at the art of lying. Floyd simply cannot, calmly and persuasively, express his excuses and reasons to duck Pac. He can barely handle softball questions without coming across as a jackass. Brian Kenny and Rugged RA tore Floyd to bits and we cannot afford to have that happen again, least of all now. We just hide Floyd from the public till we end up rejecting the fight which will be in about two or three weeks, maybe around Christmas where it will be lost in the shuffle.

      *************: Then target Mosley?

Ellerbe: Well, not really. We’re playing the percentages with that move. We hope Shane loses to Berto which is 50-50. Then we won’t have to fight Berto because Haymon advises him. If Shane wins and wins big we can still duck and dodge him. If Shane looks old then yeah, we’ll pick him. But if Shane is spectacular we can always price ourself out of the fight. We’re pretending to target Shane now because it’s critically important we avoid Pac now – and Shane is the only acceptable option to use to duck Pac at this point. We can’t fake retire again. We ducked Shane after the Marquez fight but we need him now. Anything to ensure that we don’t have to put Floyd in the ring with Pac, which, as you know, would be suicide for us.

*************: But a lot of people believe Floyd has the skills to beat Pac, why not just go for it, in the spirit of matching the best vs. the best. And the money is huge.

Ellerbe: Floyd is not a real fighter anymore, his skills and sharpness are declining with all the easy safe fights. He’s just pretending. He’s a celebrity now with ambitions on being an entertainer. Pac is a superhuman monster, a relentless, amazing, wrecking machine with blinding speed, power, unbreakable confidence and an unlimited arsenal of power punches which come from all angles. This boy don’t play. He brings it. Floyd can’t handle that. Floyd needs to set and control the pace to be effective with his counters and potshots. Floyd has grown used to boxing slow old small guys. He would get overwhelmed and mutilated by Pac, it’s a mismatch. Floyd is scared already, that’s why we have to duck Pac. Floyd would get battered and busted up by about six-seven rounds. We won’t ever let the public see Floyd get beaten up like that. Our whole charade would be over. Everything would be over. That’s why we’re the best team in boxing, we have the infrastructure set up where we can duck or dodge anyone any time. We did it with Margarito, Cotto, Shane and now we’re ducking Pac.

*************: What if Arum and HBO offer you 40-40 and 20% extra to the winner? What if Arum agrees to accept 40-60?

Ellerbe: Listen. Give it up already. We are not taking the fight. Whatever we have to grab on to, to duck the fight we will. We’ll fake an injury or go to MMA or WWE, whatever it takes to duck Pac.

*************: Ali, the biggest star in the history of sports, took 50-50 with Frazier and Foreman.

Ellerbe: Floyd is like a flea compared to Ali. Let’s leave it at that.

*************: Is Floyd really his own boss?

Ellerbe: No. That’s just another facet of the charade. Floyd is just a puppet, a wanna-be superstar with delusions of grandeur, and we’re his handlers. Floyd is like a little child who never grew up. He falls apart mentally when he feels pressure. You saw how he looked talking to Margarito, when Larry Merchant asked him about fighting Cotto, when Shane challenged him after Marquez, when Brian Kenny and Rugged got a hold of him. Floyd is a puppet, a carefully packaged and manufactured product. He is no CEO, are you kidding me? Look how Philthy Rich Records turned out. That’s why Floyd needs me, Haymon, Shaefer and HBO to save his ass. Without us he’d have been eaten alive years ago.

*************: But Floyd has been built up to be in the position he is now, he could be like an Ali, Leonard or Tyson, he can save the sport and set it up for a strong and bright future by fighting the best and giving the public the most exciting entertainment. Which is what the sport needs.

Ellerbe: I agree with you, to a degree. The problem is Floyd can’t overcome his cowardice in the face of real danger. He can’t handle dealing with extreme adversity like Cotto or Pac. Even with all his natural talent, he lacks the confidence and he falls apart mentally under duress. He can’t think or talk straight when he has to talk about Pac or Cotto. Keep in mind, I want to keep my job in boxing, I want to keep my paychecks coming. So I will do whatever it takes to protect Floyd from danger and keep him undefeated.

*************: Now that it’s been established Pacquiao vs. Mayweather will not happen, can you share your true thoughts on Pacquiao as a man and a fighter? Instead of belittling him as just a “good little fighter.”

Ellerbe: I’m sorry that I have to discredit such an amazing, incredible champion like Manny Pacquiao like that, in order to build up Floyd. I love Manny Pacquiao, he is humble, respectful, a gentleman, a positive inspiration, generous, admired and beloved by fans the world over. In my opinion he is the epitome of what the ultimate sports champion should be. He is a natural born entertainer. As a boxer, he is a modern marvel, the most exciting and exhilarating and spectacular boxer I ever saw outside of Ali, Tyson and Leonard. Floyd does not have 1/10th of the class, charisma, personality and inspiration of Manny Pacquiao. I love Manny Pacquiao to death, believe it or not. Manny Pacquiao is everything Floyd wishes he could be. Frankly, we’re just pretending to be what Manny Pacquiao is. I wish I could work with such a man as Manny Pacquiao. But business is business and I work with Floyd now.

*************: Hey, someday Floyd might quit on all this ducking and dodging and handpicking and maybe someday Floyd will find his courage and start fighting the best. Even if he loses, the public will respect him and love him for showing bravery.

Ellerbe: But it’s not gonna happen. I wish it would too, but trust me, I know Floyd and he will never take a risk like that. It’s something in his makeup. I try to tell him sometimes but he won’t listen. We can only tell him how great he is. If he only realized like Cotto and Lennox Lewis and Klitschko say, You learn so much more about yourself and life from a loss than a win. He just won’t listen. The little bastard just won’t listen. But that’s enough, I said enough already.

*************: One more thing please. Do you think God doesn’t want Floyd to lose?

Ellerbe: Floyd was crazy to say that. Sometimes I think he’s losing his mind. His paranoia of getting knocked out is driving him mad. Floyd has been deformed by boxing, all the success, fame, money and power have ruined him. He used to be cool, nice. Like the saying goes, “The humble shall be exalted — and the exalted shall be humbled.” Floyd and Manny symbolize this. And we all know who’s who. That’s why we must avoid a fight with Manny Pacquiao at any and all costs.

Reminder: This spoof interview with Leonard Ellerbe never took place, it is pure fiction.

HBO Must Force Pacquiao vs Mayweather

It’s time for potentially the biggest fight in boxing history. Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather. NOW. Not after Pac beats Mosley or Mayweather gets two more handpicked set ups. NOW. Make it now HBO. You have the power to make it happen. Don’t you?

We know Manny Pacquiao and Bob Arum will accept the fight at 50-50. But the troubling question is will Mayweather? HBO has inadvertantly spoiled the controversial boxer by giving him mega millions for safe, easy handpicked opponents for years, such as Baldomir, Marquez, Mitchell, Bruseles, etc. There is reasonable doubt by many that Mayweather will suddenly change his ways now and agree to accept an extremely dangerous opponent like Pacquiao who is more than capable of battering Mayweather just like he did Hatton, De La Hoya and Cotto in his last three fights.

But HBO has to be strong and overrule Mayweather if he tries to avoid Pacquiao. This is the fight everyone in the world wants to see NOW. It does not matter what Al Haymon says. It does not matter that Al Haymon is having a bad year and doesn’t want to see another of his meal tickets go down the drain like Jermain Taylor and Chris Arreola. All that matters is what boxing fans want now and they are clamoring to pay to see Pacquiao vs. Mayweather. This is a once in a decade fight.

Mayweather always says he loves HBO like family. So he trusts HBO like family. If this is true, Mayweather will trust HBO if they ask him to take 50-50 now. If Mayweather does not trust that fair offer, which could benefit him over $25-30 million when all is said and done, HBO you should tear up his contract, put him out on the street and let Showtime take him. They can have the fraud.

But let’s hope Floyd is not a fraud and will agree to fight Pacquiao next.

It’s up to HBO to make this fight happen. If this fight fails to happen, for whatever excuse or reason, put ALL the blame on HBO
I don't see anything wrong with this article or saying pac will "kill" mayweather, he's just saying HBO to force mayweather to fight pac. nothing wrong here, he maybe biased towards pac, that;s true, and i would have written same thing to really really make this fight happen.

Ive been reading Scoop for years. Alot of people dont like Floyd but he takes it to the next level. Even before Hatton he was ripping him. Then he actually said that Hatton will win and it will end all the Floyd hype. After the fight he ate crow and said that Floyd is an ATG and he has no problem if Floyd now wants to retire. Sure enough like a month later he went back on all of that and has been ripping him non stop again. To each its own though I guess. Like I said, I know alot of people would love it

Actually I was going to do that but its not really my job. I have seen a good amount of articles but there is still a differnce just like there is a differnce on this site. There is downright hate for Floyd and its actually turned so bad that people dont even seem to think he is that good, hasnt fought anyone ever, ducks everyone, runs every fight, pit pats every fight, picks on the smallest guy possible, purposely prices himself out of fights, only takes fights that he's sure he will win, he's not a real P4P go or near the top, and he will get killed by Pac or Mosley while having no shot of taking there punch, going toe to toe at all, and cant hurt anyone

This next one is not a real hate article but the guy picks Pac so I will post it. Its by Derrick Villanueva.

Five Arguments Why You Should Bet On Pacquaio

By Derrick P. Villanueva: 1.) Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao is Stronger than Floyd “Money” Mayweather – In his recent fight with Cotto, he turned the proud Puerto Rican’s face into raw hamburger. The only other time I’ve seen him look that bad is when he got pummeled with Antonio “Hands of Plaster” Margarito. The ‘Pacman’ also made Oscar De La Hoya quit on his stool, something he’s never done in his career. And do we dare forget the demolition of then 140 lbs. king Ricky Hatton? Critics can say all they want about the power of this General Santos City native or the state of his opponents but the fact remains that he’s beaten bigger men to a pulp more than once. I for one sure as hell didn’t see Oscar’s face look That bad after his fight with Mayweather, nor did I see any sort of damage or pain in Hatton’s face before that fateful hook.

2.) “Pacman” has Shown he can Take a Punch – Who in their right mind will stand still and let Miguel Cotto wail bombs on their body like a stationary punching bag? Pacquiao that’s who. To be fair to Cotto, the punches he threw DID hurt according to Pacquiao, even admitting that Cotto was “very strong, very powerful.” But could Cotto hurt him enough to stop him like he dropped Zab “Super” Judah? Nah.

3.) “Pacman” is Faster – Mayweather has never fought anybody as fast as the “Pacman.” Mayweather has the best defense in the game today but is it enough to nullify Pacquiao’s 8-10 punch combos? I don’t think so. One or two solid hits is all it will take to displace Mayweather’s false sense of security. Critics will point out that Mayweather’s sharp counter-punching might stop Pacquiao but I highly doubt that “Money” has enough “Firepower” to slow Pacquiao down. It will take some time to figure out how to use his speed against the slippery fighter but once he does, it’s game over for Floyd.

4.) “Pacman” has Roach – Pacman’s “Master.” This three time Trainer of the Year awardee devises a perfect game plan time and time again for his human wrecking ball tailor-fit for his current opponent and adapts on the go in-between rounds. There’s also something to be said about the “Father-Son” bond of the two: it’s real. At least for Manny Pacquiao, who hasn’t had a father figure in many years. This special bond enables Roach to control his protégé well, forging a special trust that enables precise (except for the beginning rounds of the Cotto fight,) execution of his game plan.

5.) “Pacman” has Fun – Unlike “Money” Mayweather who does it for, well, money, Pacquiao is one of the rare breed of boxers that enjoys what he’s doing. You can see it in his face and in his smile every time he comes out of the locker rooms to the adoring cheers of his fans. This is a man that is humble, that carries the Pride of the Filipino people on his shoulders, who loves to sing, but most of all, just loves to fight. And you know what they say: In order to be successful in something, you have to love what you’re doing
