Edgar Sosa Will Protest TKO Loss To Rodel Mayol
Collapse

the cut wasn't that deep, the doc was ryt not to stop the fyt.
sosa was hit in his left cheek bone.
sosa lost heart fyting after the headbutt.
he was too worried with the cut, too consious.
mayol capitalise on sosa's hesitation.
round 1 was mayol's, with clear connects.
there wasn't much blood, some may even be from sosa's nose.
sosa got disoriented with the headbutt.
he was too conscius defending his cut.
he wasn't even himself with his offense.
sosa lost heart.......
was this his first experience to get cut from head butt??Comment

Yeah, he improved so much that he was TKO'd after that fight by a Mexican prospect with only 11 fights.....GTFO!
It sounds that you ruled Mayol out of contention...He's in the level of Calderon not as what you think as a journeyman...I believe skill wise Mayol is better than Viloria as what has shown w/ in the 1st Calderon fight a top ten P4P...He's fast, strong & improved but only have a glass chin...He was strong against Ulisses Solis until only caught by a knock out punch, I believe he has improved after that fight...Comment

Sosa was spitting out blood and still looked dazed when the figth was restarted, thats what i had an issue with.
I don't think it was a deliberate headbutt, but you can't just restart the fight after a fighter gets smashed by someone head, you need to let him recover, if he can't NC and come back another day.
Sosa had in no way recovered.Comment

It ain't gonna make a difference in a rematch. I just think Mayol is clearly a level above him!Sosa was spitting out blood and still looked dazed when the figth was restarted, thats what i had an issue with.

I don't think Sosa was in control of this fight, he was floored in the first round already and was just saved by the bell.Comment

yeah...im sure that made nate's sorry ass happy.....**** that crybaby and all his righteous talk....And the Calif. commission correctly overruled the bad call by the referee and changed Bradley-Campbell to a no-contest. The rules are clear. If a fight is stopped due to an injury caused by an accidental foul before 4 rounds are complete, it is a no contest.
I also find it odd that most referee's have no problem whatsoever giving the "5 minute recovery period" when the foul is a low blow, but they rarely, if ever, give the 5 minutes when the foul is a headbutt.Comment
